Sage walked down the stairs as the aroma of breakfast film her nose and made her stomach rumble as she entered the kitchen and spotted her mother, Emma at the stove humming to herself as she was flipping pancakes and right beside her was the family's Eevee who sat on the floor.
Oh, Sage, my little explorer," Emma said as her voice was a mix of pride and worry.
Promise me you'll call if you ever get stuck and don't know what to do" Emma said as she hugged her daughter.
I promise, Mom. Don't worry—I'll be fine" Sage said with a smile.
With a quick pat on her shoulder, Emma guided Sage to the table and set a plate of pancakes in front of her as Sage dug in.
After breakfast and one last hug from her mom, Sage set off toward Professor Oak's laboratory.
(Scene Change)
Upon reaching the lab, Sage found herself face-to-face with Blue the most arrogant kid in Pallet Town.
Took you long enough, Slowpoke" Blue sneered.
Sage narrowed her eyes as her cheeks was heating up with irritation.
I'm not a Slowpoke, Blue!" Sage said angrily.
Before the argument could escalate, Professor Oak entered the room as he was shaking his head.
Blue, what did I tell you about provoking Sage?" Professor oak said sternly.
Blue rolled his eyes but fell silent as Oak approached.
Just then the lab doors opened again and in walked Red and Leaf, Sage's childhood friends as Sage felt her irritation fade as they greeted her with warm smiles.
Red gave a quiet nod while Leaf came over and hugged Sage as her green eyes was sparkling with excitement.
Ready to start our journeys?" Leaf asked as her enthusiasm was contagious.
Sage nodded as she glanced over at Professor Oak who was now gathering a few Poké Balls from a nearby table.
This was it—the moment she'd been waiting for her whole life.
