Sage walked steadily through the underground tunnel beneath Saffron City as her footsteps echoed softly in the cool, dimly lit passageway as she could feel the anticipation building as she approached the end of the tunnel ad emerging onto Route 6.
(Scene Change)
Sage smiled caught her first glimpse of Vermilion City in the distance as she was so excited that she nearly ran towards Vermilion city as Sage began looking around for Leaf when suddenly a familiar voice echoed throughout the route.
SAGE!.
Sage spun around as she saw Leaf as the two quickly ran to each other and hugged.
Leaf are you ready for our battle" Sage asked with a grin on her face.
Yeah, lets have a two vs two battle" Leaf said excitedly.
Sure I hope you ready" Sage said.
I'll start with Fearow! I choose you!" Leaf said as she sent out a Pokéball as Fearow was released as it began flying around
Espeon, I choose you!" Sage said as she threw her Pokéball as Espeon appeared in a burst of light as it stood by Sage with confidence in it's eyes.
Sage's Rotom Phone buzzed and quickly displayed Fearow's Pokédex entry.
Fearow the beak Pokemon, Normal/Flying: It has powerful wings and an intimidating beak as this Pokemon is known for its speed and strength in the air.
Espeon use Hyper Voice!" Sage commanded.
Espeon's body glowed with psychic energy as it let out a powerful, high-pitched soundwave as Fearow flinched from the force of the attack as it took the brunt force of the attack sending it to the ground.
Even though my dream is to become a Pokémon doctor, you better not underestimate me, Sage!" Leaf called out.
Never" Sage said with confidence in her voice.
Fearow use Pursuit!" Leaf ordered.
Fearow swooped down swiftly as its sharp beak was aimed directly at Espeon but Sage was ready.
Espeon, dodge and use Psychic Ball!" Sage shouted.
Espeon gracefully leaped to the side and avoided Fearow's Pursuit attack as Espeon fired a Psychic Ball toward Fearow but Leaf was quick to react.
Fearow use Drill Run!" Leaf commanded.
Fearow spun into the air as its body was surrounded by a swirling energy as it shot downward like a drill as it was flying directly into the path of Espeon's Psychic Ball.
The two attacks collided and created an explosion of light and sound that reverberated through the air and threw dust and debris into the surrounding area.
Both Pokémon staggered back but neither was ready to give up.
Espeon use Swift!" Sage called out.
Espeon's eyes glowed as it launched a flurry of star-shaped energy projectiles, which rained down on Fearow as the attack landed with pinpoint accuracy and Fearow faltered slightly from the force.
Fearow use Wing Attack!" Leaf called out.
With a sharp cry, Fearow dove at Espeon as its wings glowed with powerful energy.
Espeon use Hyper Voice again!" Sage shouted as Espeon released a powerful Soundwave.
The two moves collided in mid-air, sending shockwaves of energy in all directions as the force of the explosion caused both Pokémon to be blown backward as Fearow hit a tree and fainted.
Great job Espeon" Sage smiled as she recalled her Pokemon into its Pokéball.
Take a good rest Fearow" Leaf smiled as she recalled her fainted Pokémon back into its Pokéball as Sage and Leaf looked at each other and smiled.
