Sage's footsteps echoed through the dim caves of Mt. Moon as she walked along the rugged path as was feeling a rush of pride after her recent victory over Blue.
She had defeated Leaf, Red and now Blue but despite her excitement she reminded herself not to get cocky as overconfidence could be dangerous on her journey to become a Pokémon Master.
As she wandered, Sage remembered Professor Oak's words about the rumored Squirtle in Mt. Moon as Sage eyes scanned the area as she was hoping for any sign of the elusive Water-type.
Sage was lost in thought when suddenly she spotted a man, hunched over and digging into the rocky ground with a small shovel as Sage was intrigued as approached him.
Hey what are you doing?" Sage asked as she looked at the man in confusion.
The man looked up as he wiped the sweat off his forehead and grinned at Sage.
Name's Dingo! I'm treasure hunting. My siblings and I run a little business where we dig up valuables for trainers and you'll be surprised at what you can find in these caves!" Dingo said with a smile.
Sage's eyes sparkled with interest.
That sounds amazing! How much does it cost to have you dig something up for me?" Sage asked curiously.
That will be 300 Poké Dollars" Dingo said as he held out his hand with a grin.
Without hesitation, Sage handed over the money as while Dingo began to dig, Sage released her Eevee and the two spent time playing together as they were enjoying the break.
Eevee's playful barks echoed through the cave as Sage and Eevee tossed rocks back and forth as they laughed at each other's clumsy attempts to catch them.
About five minutes later, Dingo popped back up as began brushing the dust off a small bag.
Alright, kid, let's see what we've got!" Dingo said with a grin.
Dingo reached into the bag and held up a glimmering red shard.
This here is a Star Piece. It's pretty valuable and you can sell it at the Poké Mart for a good price" Dingo said
Sage's eyes lit up as she pocketed the Star Piece as she was feeling her fortune grow.
Next, Dingo pulled out two small yellow crystals.
These are Revives. They'll bring back any Pokémon that's fainted in battle. Handy, eh?" Dingo said.
Wow, thank you!" Sage said as she felt thrilled as she added the Revives to her bag.
Dingo wasn't finished yet as he reached in the bag again and pulled out a small, stone-colored gem that glowed faintly.
Here's a Thunder Stone. You can use it to evolve certain Pokémon like Eevee into a Jolteon, if that's your thing" Dingo said.
Sage glanced down at Eevee who tilted its head with a curious look. She smiled, tucking the stone away, wondering if Jolteon might be a path for Eevee someday.
And finally a couple of Technical Machines which are called Fire Fang and Hyper Voice" Dingo said as he held up two dusty disks.
Sage's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she looked at the discs as she was familiar with Fire Fang and she knew it would be a great move for Charmeleon but Hyper Voice was new to her.
Rotom can you scan Hyper Voice for me?" Sage asked as she held the disc up to her Rotom Phone.
The screen flashed and Rotom displayed a description of Hyper Voice.
A powerful Normal-type move that uses sound waves to strike opponents and It can hit multiple targets in battle.
That sounds awesome," Sage murmured as she was already imagining several strategy possibilities with Hyper voice.
Looks like ya got some good finds, huh?" Dingo grinned.
Absolutely!" Sage replied as she was gathering her new treasures and stowing them safely in her bag as she thanked Dingo and continued exploring Mt: Moon.
