Sage found a scenic clearing along Route 3 which was filled with wildflowers, sun-dappled grass and the distant call of wild Pokémon.
The place felt peaceful and a perfect spot for her to train her Pokémon and grow stronger together as Sage had been looking for a quiet place where she could focus on her team and this spot felt just right.
Sage released all her Pokémon and they gathered around as they were eager for the chance to stretch their legs and practice their moves.
Alright, everyone! Let's get some training done!" Sage said as her voice full of excitement as her Pokémon cheered in response.
Sage's Pidgey however seemed a bit more intense than usual as ever since the Pewter City Museum fire, Pidgey had been more vigilant and it was on high alert.
Sage couldn't help but notice the focused look in Pidgey eyes and the way it scanned the surroundings.
Curious, Sage pulled out her Rotom Phone to scan Pidgey as the device beeped and displayed a notification.
Pidgey is close to evolving." Sage read out loud as a huge grin formed on Sage face as she was feeling a burst of pride and anticipation.
You're doing amazing, Pidgey! Keep up the hard work and I know you'll evolve in no time," Sage encouraged as Pidgey chirped proudly as it was fluttering its wings.
They all began their training in earnest as Sage focused on Eevee first as she wanted to make up for the time Sage had neglected Eevee as nearby a wild Spearow appeared as Sage grinned as she decided Spearow would a perfect training partner.
Alright, Eevee use Tackle!" Sage called out.
Eevee dashed forward and landed a solid hit but the Spearow fought back fiercely as Eevee held its ground as it's eyes was gleaming with determination.
As the battle continued, Eevee's movements became faster and more controlled and suddenly some small, shimmering stars appeared around Eevee as Sage immediately recognized the move from a book she read.
Swift!" Sage gasped in surprise as Eevee had learned a new move as the stars flew through the air and hit Spearow who quickly retreated into the sky as it was defeated.
Great job, Eevee!" Sage exclaimed as she hugged her Pokémon as she checked Eevee profile on the Rotom Phone and noticed that Eevee Helping Hand had been replaced by Swift.
As Sage was praising Eevee she noticed Charmeleon trotting back towards them as Sage spotted ssomething metallic gleaming in its mouth.
Charmeleon? What do you have there?" Sage asked as kneeled down as Charmeleon presented the item with a proud smirk as it was a Technical Machine or TM with the label "Thunder Punch."
Thunder Punch?" Sage said as she was feeling a mixture of excitement and curiosity as she wondered where Charmeleon had found the TM but there was no time to question it now as Sage took out her Rotom Phone to scan the TM and learned it was still usable.
Let's try this out, shall we?" Sage said as she was looking at her Pikachu.
Pikachu, touch the TM and see if you can learn Thunder Punch" Sage said as Pikachu eagerly placed it's paw on the disk as the TM glowed for a moment before shattering into pieces as it was absorbed by Pikachu.
Sage checked her Rotom Phone again and saw that Pikachu Growl had been replaced with Thunder Punch as Sage eyes lit up as she couldn't wait to see this move in action.
Alright, Pikachu, let's test Thunder Punch!" Sage called out as she was pointing to a sturdy tree nearby as Pikachu's cheeks sparked with energy as it clenched its tiny paw, which now crackled with electricity.
It dashed forward and punched the tree with an electrified fist as the impact was powerful enough to destroy the tree and send wood and leaves flying everywhere.
Wow! That was incredible, Pikachu!" Sage cheered as Pikachu looked back at her proudly as it felt a little smug for having pulled off such an impressive move.
Sage continued to work with each of her Pokémon as she was ensuring they all felt valued and had a chance to grow as Butterfree practiced Confusion on some nearby rocks and was honing its psychic abilities while Charmeleon worked on perfecting Metal Claw.
As the sun began to set over Route 3, Sage gathered her team around her.
"I'm so proud of all of you," Sage said as she looked at each of her Pokemon.
We're getting stronger every day. We've got some tough challenges ahead but I know we can face anything together" Sage said as all her Pokemon roared in agreement as Sage decided to continue training tomorrow.
