Sage and Misty was looking at each other as Both trainers looked determined to win as Sage Pikachu was looking at Misty Gyarados who looked ferocious and eager to battle.
Misty smirked as she decided to attack first.
Gyarados use Dragon Rage!" Misty commanded as her voice was steady and confident.
Pikachu use Quick Attack and dodge!" Sage said quickly.
Pikachu darted forward as it's small form zipped out of the way just as Gyarados unleashed a deadly Dragon Rage as the energy blast missed and Sage knew it was time to go on the offensive.
Misty, you're not the only one who can bring the storm! Pikachu use Thunder Punch!" Sage said.
The electricity crackled through the air as Pikachu launched itself toward Gyarados but Misty was quick to respond.
Gyarados use Aqua Tail!" Misty said.
The massive serpent swung its tail with precision as the tail collided with Pikachu's Thunder Punch in a brilliant explosion of energy.
Pikachu was sent flying but it managed to land gracefully on its feet.
Pikachu use Thunder Punch again!" Sage called as she was determined to wear Gyarados down.
Not this time. Gyarados use Bite!" Misty shouted.
Before Pikachu could even react, Gyarados lunged and sank its teeth into Pikachu's tail as Gyarados throw Pikachu into the gym pool.
Pikachu use Double Team!" Sage said quickly as she was Gyarados was about attack.
Pikachu who determined not to be outdone used Double Team to create several clones of itself to confuse Gyarados as Misty scowled.
Gyarados, destroy them all with Aqua Tail!" Misty said confidentially.
Gyarados began to slash through the illusions one by one with powerful tail swing but Sage had anticipated this as the real Pikachu was nowhere near the clones and it had taken the opportunity to climb onto Gyarados back.
Pikachu use Iron Tail!" Sage ordered.
With incredible agility, Pikachu leapt onto Gyarados's back as it's tail was glowing with metallic energy as Pikachu slammed it tail into Gyarados back causing it to roar in pain.
Gyarados use Rain Dance!" Misty said
Sage was curious as she checked her Rotom Phone to understand the what move Gyarados was about to use.
Rain Dance – Water-type Move
Powers up Water-type moves by summoning rain, making Water-type attacks stronger for five turns.
Gyarados roared as Sage saw gray clouds began forming over the battlefield as it was beginning to rain heavily.
With the rain now pouring down, Gyarados's Water-type moves would be even more devastating as Misty grinned but Sage wasn't done yet.
Pikachu use Thunder Punch!" Sage said
Pikachu coated its adorable fist with electricity as Pikachu rushed towards Gyarados.
Gyarados use Bite!" Misty said instantly.
Thunder Punch and Bite both landing at the same time with incredible power and the impact sent a shockwave through the gym.
Both Pokémon staggered back as they were visibly exhausted but they were still standing as It was clear now that the battle could go either way.
Pikachu use Thunder Punch at full power!" Sage said.
Gyarados use Aqua Tail!" Misty countered fiercely.
The two Pokémon lunged at each other once again as their attacks collided in a blinding flash of light and when the smoke cleared as both Pikachu and Gyarados were lying unconscious on the battlefield.
Sage took a deep breath as she called Pikachu back into its Poké Ball as Misty stood still for a moment as she was staring at the battlefield as she then smiled.
Well, that was a hell of a fight. You've earned my respect, Sage. Looks like we're down to one Pokémon each" Misty said with a smile.
Sage nodded as she knew this battle was far from over but she was more determined than ever to win.
