51. Get up and go.

"There we go." Whispers Arthur when he steps out of the car, and they walk towards their school.

He sees the eyes looking at him, and he hears them whispering. All he can do is look forward and keep walking with Alice.

"See all of them being jealous." Says Alice, and she elbowed him in the ribs.

"Stop that." Laughs Arthur and press her arm away.

"I'm trying to cheer you up. Your shoulders are tense. Take a breath and ignore them."

"Easier said then done." Says Arthur.

''I know, but you need to try, I guess. You have no choice then to put up with it. The news is out, and you are the new top favorite boy around here." She says with a grin on her face.

"That's not true." Says Arthur and she laughs.

"You weren't here when it came out. Arthur, I heard girls wanting to date you while they didn't even notice you before. You know how gross that is." Says Alice.

"That they want to date me or date me because of Charles?''

"Both." She says and Arthur shook his head with a smile.

She look at him with her big smile and hooks her arm through Arthur's.

"I will fake date you if that means keeping them away for you. If you want that attention then I will be out of your way." She says with her evil grin again.

"Why are you so horrible to me today!" Asks Arthur.

"Because I love teasing you about this. Oh, and by the way, I wouldn't date you." She says and Arthur rolls his eyes.

"I'm disappointed in you."

"Yeah me too, such a lovely boy and I don't even like him." Says Alice and Arthur gives her a gentle push with his arm that Alice is holding.

Alice laughs and looks at him.

"I've missed this." She says and Arthur nods.

"Me too. But I'm not leaving anymore, so we have all the time through January and even after that." Says Arthur

"Thank you for including that, I was ready to go off on you how you are going to dumb me after January." Says Alice.

"Never." Says Arthur and she smiles.

"We will look together where we want to go and pack our stuff and leave." She says.

"Sounds like a beautiful plan." Says Arthur.

"But the way, you said you wanted to look for an internship at F2 or F3. What changed? That would be a perfect chance for you."

"After this weekend with Charles, I don't even want to think about it being this close to him. Plus, Dennis wanted to help me and I guess I ruined that. So I don't have that much energy to even try." Says Arthur.

They arrived at their lockers and Arthur opened his and took off his coat.

"I still want to know what happened that night you went out and after that with Dennis." She says and leans against the lockers.

"Not much." Lies Arthur, and he sees her rolling with her eyes.

"So you are going to lie to me now?" She asks and puts her eyebrow up. "I talked with you two before. And you two looked so happy together." She says.

Arthur smiles. "Clem won the sprint race, and he wanted to celebrate, well more like having an excuse to party and drink. They asked Dennis and me to join him. Dennis didn't want that but I thought it was fun. So I went with him and saw Jak, another driver I met and talked to a few times. There were other drivers as well and I don't know how much I drank but I thought it was okay, but maybe I went a bit too far." Explains Arthur.
