how to deal with these strange feelings

Back in Y/n's house..
Izana shut the front door behind him, the wooden frame creaking slightly as it clicked into place. He leaned against it, his chest rising and falling with a barely contained exhale. His thoughts swirled with the interaction he had just had with Ran outside.
Damn, I thought I could be civil, but he really pissed me off. I still need more therapy, he sighed.
The soft patter of footsteps descending the staircase made him straighten. Izana turned his head just as Y/n came into view, her hair slightly tousled from sleep and her hands rubbing at her eyes.
"Izana?" her voice sounded groggy. "What's going on? I heard shouting... Is everything okay?" She stopped at the base of the stairs.
Izana's lips parted, a faint flicker of panic crossing his face as her sleepy eyes began scanning him, looking for answers. She wasn't the type to let things slide if something felt off, and definitely, things wouldn't be pretty if she found out he just beat up Ran to pulp.
The white-haired man turned, his back to the door, and instinctively glanced out the small window nearby, searching for any sign of Ran. No trace of him. Good.
Izana sighed in relief, pressing a hand against his forehead to compose himself before turning back to Y/n. "It's nothing. Some drunk idiots outside caused a scene. I handled it."
Y/n tilted her head, unconvinced. "That loud? I thought I heard someone yelling your name. You sure it wasn't anything serious?"
Izana waved her off, stepping closer to her to steer the conversation away. "You know how it is. People act dumb at night. Don't worry about it." His purple eyes softened as he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Go back to sleep, Y/n. You need your rest."
She furrowed her brows, her instincts telling her something was off, but Izana's calm demeanour lulled her into a sense of safety. "Alright..."
Y/n glanced at the clock mounted on the wall, the ticking hands signalling that the day had slipped by faster than she realized. It was already dinner time, and her stomach gave a faint, hungry grumble. She stretched her arms above her head, shaking off the remnants of sleep, before turning her attention to Izana.
"Izana, you should head home. Shion's probably waiting for you. Don't want him to be alone."
Izana brushed it off. "Shion? He is gonna raid the fridge and eat everything before I get back."
"Still, you shouldn't leave him on his own too long. Besides, Suba-nii might be back soon. If you're still here when he shows up, you know he's just going to glare at you the entire time. He is not..that used to seeing you or the others alone with me."
Izana sat up straight at that, his smirk fading as he let out an exaggerated groan. "Tch, don't remind me of that guy. Why does he hate us so much?" He leaned his elbows on his knees, his gaze flicking toward the window as if contemplating staying despite her words.
