"Takemichi!" a voice called, pulling him out of his thoughts.
It was Hinata waving with that radiant smile, the one he had fought through hell and time to protect. She stood with Emma and Yuzuha, all three laughing about something, cheeks flushed with happiness. Emma's belly was slightly rounded now, and Yuzuha kept rubbing it.
Takemichi smiled, wiping at the corner of his eye as Naoto handed him a tissue.
"Seriously. You cry more than the bride," Naoto complained.
"But look!" Takemichi gestured with one hand. "Draken and Emma-chan... together. Mikey's alive. Chifuyu and Kazutora-kun didn't lose Baji-kun. Everyone's here. Everyone's okay..."
His voice trailed off. Because he believed not everyone was.
Naoto caught that pause. "You're thinking of her."
"...Yeah." Takemichi's gaze drifted up to the sky. "Y/n-san. I just wonder...where she is now."
Naoto didn't answer.
They remembered that day; burned into their minds like a bad dream.
The day she revealed herself.
The day she aimed a gun at Hinata's head.
Naoto still remembered the way her voice had sounded.

Even now, those words echoed.
Hinata had been trembling in fear, blindfolded, and gagged, strapped to a chair while Y/n stood behind her with a gun.
"Hand it over, or I shoot."
Takemichi-shaking, crying, kneeling on the cold warehouse floor-did the only thing he could.
"I-I'll give it to you! J-Just please, please let her go..."

"You know, all this hardship-" Takemichi stopped talking upon realizing it wasn't Naoto asking him.
