Meanwhile...

Takemichi and Chifuyu had spent the past few days just wandering. No gang wars, no near-death situations—just the two of them, going everywhere they could, enjoying the peace while it lasted.

Today, their adventure led them to Yokohama. They spent the afternoon exploring, trying different foods, and for once, feeling like normal teenagers (even though Takemichi was technically an adult in his teenage body).

Takemichi let out a satisfied sigh, patting his stomach as they stepped out of a ramen shop. "Man, that was good! If that place is still around in the future, I'm definitely coming back!"

Chifuyu grinned, nodding. "Yeah! We should go together again! I mean... you with future me."

Takemichi suddenly stopped. His smile faded as he looked down at his feet. "...everything is over, huh?"

Chifuyu stopped too, his expression softening. "Yeah." His voice was quieter now. "You're going back."

A heavy silence settled between them. Takemichi took a shaky breath. "I'm scared," he admitted. Chifuyu stayed quiet, letting him speak.

"What if... nothing changes?" Takemichi's fists tightened. He had fought so hard. He had put an end to the Black Dragon. But the fear of failure, of losing everything again, never left him.

Chifuyu furrowed his brows before flicking Takemichi's forehead.

"Ow! What the hell?!" Takemichi yelped, rubbing the sore spot.

"Dumbass," Chifuyu huffed, crossing his arms. "Don't overthink it. You did your best. Everything is over. No more Kisaki, no more bad future."

Takemichi let out a sigh, still unconvinced. "But... there are still a lot of mysteries, y'know."

Chifuyu raised a brow. "Like what?"

Takemichi opened his mouth to reply but suddenly froze. His breath hitched, his eyes widening in horror. Chifuyu frowned. "Oi, Takemitchy—" He waved a hand in front of his face, but Takemichi didn't move.

"Somebody's trying to jump...!" Takemichi gasped, his voice laced with panic. Chifuyu felt his stomach twist. His head snapped toward where Takemichi was looking, and his heart plummeted.

By the bridge, a woman stood on the railing, arms stretched out, wind blowing through her hair—ready to end it all.

They didn't hesitate; the two sprinted forward, but before Chifuyu could reach her, the woman had already leapt off the railing. "Damn it!" he cursed. Taking off his jacket, he tossed it to Takemichi. "Takemitchy, wait by the bank! I'm gonna jump in!"

Takemichi nodded without question, immediately changing direction as Chifuyu climbed onto the railing. Without a second thought, Chifuyu dove into the freezing river below.
