Next day,
Early morning..

Izana and Shion walked side by side, their footsteps light against the quiet morning streets. Shion let out a loud yawn, rubbing his tired eyes.

"You kept me up all night, you bastard," Izana grumbled, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I could hear you sniffling under your futon."

Shion pouted. "I can't help it, okay? I have no control over my feelings."

Izana sighed, falling into silence. He hadn't slept either. Y/n's decision had been running through his mind the entire night, and no matter how much he tossed and turned, he couldn't shake it off.

Shion looked away, kicking a loose pebble on the sidewalk. "Once she makes up her mind, things will change... so much."

"It is what it is." Izana's response was simple, almost indifferent. But deep down, he hated it, too.

Shion suddenly halted in his tracks. Izana walked a few more steps before noticing, then turned to look at him with a raised brow.

"I kinda wish things could stay this way."

"Huh? You saying you wanna keep waiting-"

"Why can't we just make her happy together?"

Izana froze. His breath hitched at those words.

Shion glanced at him, his expression uncharacteristically serious. "Maybe it's just me, but to be honest... I don't mind sharing."

"I'm just used to how she treats us," Shion continued. "She... successfully shows equal attention and affection."

"Nobody is hurt. And it's not like we get pissed off at each other."

Izana remained silent, just staring at him. For once, he didn't know what to say. The truth in his words, it was undeniable.

Noticing his silence, Shion let out a small chuckle and raised his hands in surrender. "You don't have to agree with me. It's just my opinion."

Shion looked up at the sky as they continued walking. "I know this isn't a simple matter. This involves everyone's feelings... not just ours. Whatever decision Y/n makes, I'll respect it." His lips curled into a bittersweet smile as he added, "Even if, in the end... she only chooses one."

Izana was about to respond when a frantic voice called out, "Kurokawa!"

Both he and Shion turned to see Subaru running toward them. He skidded to a stop, bending over with his hands on his knees, gasping for breath. His eyes darted around, searching for someone.

Izana frowned. "What's wrong?"

Subaru lifted his head, his expression tense. "Is Y/n not with you guys?"

That question alone made Izana and Shion's stomachs churn. Something about Subaru's urgency set them on edge.

Shion answered honestly. "No. She went home yesterday after we hung out with her."
