ack to the mansion...

Y/n knocked another man to the ground, pressing her gun against his forehead. His breath came in short gasps, but he clenched his jaw tight, refusing to speak.

"Where is your boss?"

He said nothing.

She heard the faintest shuffle behind her, the sound of someone raising a weapon. Without breaking eye contact with the man beneath her, Y/n raised her gun and fired. The crack of the gunshot echoed through the halls, followed by the heavy thud of a body hitting the ground.

The man flinched. Y/n lowered the gun, tilting her head. "Feel like talking now?"

The man sputtered out an answer. "T-The guest meeting room j-just down that hall...!"

"And the boss? Give me name. Now."

His throat bobbed as he swallowed. "T-Takumi Kiryu..."

Takumi. That name.

Yuto's right-hand man.

Something clicked in her mind. The gears in her brain turned, piecing together every fragmented clue, every moment that never made sense until now.

Her uncle. That gun he owned. President.

Her uncle was the leader all along; of the organization that had been hunting her for her entire life. But something didn’t add up.

He was involved?

Why would someone as kind as Yuto kill her adoptive mother? Would he even hurt a child like Ryuji?

There was no way he was the type to manipulate others into killing... like Shu. What were Yuto's reasons?

The man raised his hands in surrender. "P-Please, let me go. I-I have a wife and a newborn child..."

Y/n heard his words but didn’t lower her gun. Her gaze bore into him, cold. "Did you actually think your trick would work on me?"

A gunshot echoed through the hall. He squeezed his eyes shut, expecting the worst,  waiting for the pain, the end—

But it never came.

He cracked his eyes open. He was unharmed. Y/n exhaled, retracting her gun. She had shot the ceiling instead.

"Go."

The man hesitated.

"Fucking leave," she ordered. "You can’t raise a family if you stay in this stupid organization."

"But-"

"Just tell me one thing."

"Y...yes?"

"I’m a Kiryu, aren’t I?"

The man’s expression shifted. Slowly, he  gave a small nod.

"Your real leader... Yuto...Kiryu?"
