"I know..."
"Hazel, it's just... you moved back here so you could tell him and let him into this part of your life, but... when are you going to tell him?"
Hazel shrugs, searching for words, her expression doleful.
"Will you help me figure out how to tell him? I'm so lost and I- I don't know what to even say..." Hazel pauses. "And... he'll likely be upset at you, too, by the way. If he finds out, he'll also know that you knew all along and didn't tell him either. He'll be upset at both of us."
"I know. But that's something we'll have to face. Like I said, the longer you wait-"
"I know, Rass. I get it. We'll figure it out."
I nod, even though it feels like she's still trying to push it off for later.
"I don't mean to stress you out." I let her know.
"It's fine. You're right anyways." Hazel smiles. "We should probably head back."
I nod and take hold of her hand, and the two of us walk home.

***Khai's POV***
To my surprise, I'm up before Tyrone. Though I guess he did have that tea...
I carefully get out of bed, trying not to wake him. It's more on the early side, but I'm really hungry, so I head downstairs, hoping my mom is awake.
My hopes are shattered when I find she is not, and I realize I'll have to fend for myself.
I could just make cereal or something, but for some reason, I'm really craving meat.
I just want to make a nice, big breakfast.
Hey, maybe I'll surprise everyone!
I can totally do this.
I head to the fridge as quietly as I can to retrieve some sausages, bacon, and the eggs. I also get some home-fries from the freezer, intending to make some sort of cheesy hash brown casserole. I thrown some in the air fryer while I turn on two of the stove-top elements to start frying the bacon and sausages.
There's a lot of multi-tasking going on, but I'm sure I can manage. And it may be the first time I'm ever doing this, but I've watched my mom before and I usually learn pretty well by watching.
And doing...
When the home-fries are done, I start a third pan on the stove, emptying the home-fries into it, and then proceeding to crack some eggs and mix in some shredded cheese.
I feel like such an official chef right now. Too bad I don't have a cool hat.
Wait, why do chefs even wear those?
Curious, I pull out my phone and begin researching.
But chef hats lead to hats in general which leads to the sombrero which then leads to extensive facts about Mexico and soon enough I'm learning about chihuahuas and then Great Danes because when it comes to height, they are the opposite of chihuahuas and the next thing I know, the fire alarm is going off and the kitchen is clouded with smoke and I smell food burning because research is really just an evil rabbit hole with diabolical intentions to ruin people's lives.
Thankfully, my mom spawns in before I can even process what to do and rescues me.
She also stops the irritating, awful screeching of the fire alarm.
