It's cold. Yet with all the snow around me there was one source of heat in front of me. Great Red's breath was so warm it kept me from freezing. That doesn't change the fact that she's about to attack me.

Red: I knew you would defeat that nuisance from the Astaroth clan. Your reputation precedes you.

Legend: Damn right it does. Why are you here?

Red: I seek something you may already possess.

Legend: This thing you're looking for is by any chance a red sphere?

Red: Hand it to me, and I will leave the mortal realm and you in peace.

Legend: Why do you need the sphere?

Why do you need to ask? Just hand her the sphere.

Red: Your feeble mind cannot apprehend its importance. Simply drop the sphere and no one will be scorched today.

Legend: That a threat?

Red: It would be wise to heed it. You cannot hope to outmatch me. Not you, nor your armies.

Legend: I know why you need the sphere. Your eldritch masters sent you after it didn't they? And like a good moron you're following their orders without contemplating the consequences of your actions.

Are you mad!?

Red: I need not hear this from you of all people. For you auction your skills for the highest bidder. Sometimes you inflict pain and suffering simply because you enjoy destruction. How can someone like you criticize me?

Legend: I never killed without reason. I don't follow orders without taking into consideration the aftermath. Admit it. The eldritch beings promised you power and there's nothing you wouldn't do to achieve it.

Red: You are nothing but a false idol. A simple bug seeking attention. Eldritch beings can eradicate you easily if they so wished. Hand me the orb before I demonstrate just how weak you truly are.

Give her the orb damn it!

I took the orb out of my satchel and showed it to her.

Red: Good. Know your place. Your destiny is to remain underneath us.

Destiny huh. I started playing around with the orb like a tennis ball. She seemed to have gotten angry at my childish behaviors. After looking at her one more time I started crushing the orb using all my strength. In the end I broke it and with it a strange electric shock hit me. But it wasn't painful, it was strange. I felt powerful. This stuff is better than adrenaline. Great Red was probably pissed. She started roaring as hard as she could. So hard my ears started ringing.

Red: You go too far this time. I arrived in this realm with no ill intent but you leave me no choice.

Legend: Says the flying flamethrower with a god complex. Worried your eldritch masters won't give you treats anymore?

That definitely sealed the deal. She started spewing flames at me from her mouth. I used the same sign I used earlier to create a shield around me. Her breath was strong but I held that shield for dear life. Once I got tired I used my other hand to cast another sign which created a strong dust of wind which blocked her flaming breath, in that short window I unsheathed my sword and rolled away to her right.

If you win this then I'll—

Shut it.

Her right leg was exposed. I took advantage of that and sliced it with all my strength. To my surprise my sword can pierce her skin. That's draconic oil for you. The pain caused her to drop her head to the ground allowing me to inflict one big wound on her the right side of her jaw. The cut was so big she couldn't spew flames anymore. Once she realized that, her wings started flapping, and like the moron I am I jumped on top of her head and braced for a bumpy ride. She flew slower than I expected but nonetheless I lost my grip midair but thankfully I managed to leach on her a little longer thanks to the sword I just lodged inside her throat.
