In my line of experience I've found out that curses can be all sorts of things. Loss, regret, guilt. Maybe you can't undo a wrong, or maybe you made a decision years ago, and now you're paying the price. Most curses come from the outside, although there are cases where the curse is self-inflicted.

We all have things we regret, things we wish we could take back. But being afflicted by a curse is so much more than that. You forget who you are, where you're from, and lifting it is complicated. When you're lifting a curse on a person, you're not just removing a weight. You're changing everything. In some cases people prefer to remain cursed than to be brought back to reality.

Rias: It's snowing.

I was inside a carriage being transported to Bael's mansion. Turns out they need a favor of me.

Didn't they already owe you three?

Legend: Enjoy the view while it lasts, soon those skies will be filled with jets and bombs.

Rias: Have you even tried to talk with the other nobles?

Diplomacy isn't an option.

Legend: Understand this Rias, greed is one of the worst sins out there. It makes people delusional, these devils want nothing but coin and they would rather die than pay taxes.

Rias: When will you attack?

Legend: Sooner than you'd expect. Now, remind me, where are we going?

Rias: My cousin asked me to fetch you for him. He needs your help.

Legend: Details. What exactly does he need?

I swear, if it's another banquet.

Rias: It's his mother. She's ill, terribly.

Legend: He tried calling a doctor? Just so you know, I know more monster anatomy than I know yours.

Rias: Doctors couldn't help. You are her only hope.

Well in that case she's as good as dead.

Legend: And what do you want me to do? I'm not a doctor.

Rias: I'm sure you will figure something out. My cousin is the heir of the Bael clan so his gratitude could prove invaluable for you.

At this point gratitude isn't nearly worth as much as  munition.

Legend: Truth be told, I'd rather go on another date with you than helping some devil cure his sick mother.

No, you'd rather kill somebody.

Rias: We could go after you helped my cousin. I already have a spot picked in mind.

Legend: No karaoke.

Rias: How did you know I was going to suggest that?

That sixth sense of yours might as well be called "mind reader".

Legend: Looks like we arrived.

Rias: Don't dodge the question!

Great, another humongous mansion. This one alone must be thrice the price of the White House. Seems like Rias's cousin was kind enough to wait for us at the front door.
