Dear Diary...
...Y/n sang today.
I don't know how to prove it, but I'm more than sure that she's an angel who descended from heaven to sing just for me.
We went to a karaoke bar with some friends, and she was shy at first, stayed next to me, which I can't complain about; it was wonderful.
But one of my friends convinced her to take a shot of tequila with them, and after that, all hell broke loose.
Now, I don't mean things went bad, the opposite, actually.
Y/n stormed onto the stage with the others as I held the camera and delivered the most beautiful verse in Smooth Operator I've ever heard.
As the others just screamed the chorus, she kept her cool and hypnotised me.
After she finished singing, she was smiling and sat back down next to me with a big sigh.
I only looked at her with amazement because I couldn't comprehend how someone so amazing would ever fall into my arms, let alone be my girlfriend.
I spent the rest of the evening with my arm wrapped around her as she excitedly talked to everyone at the table.
After dinner, we took a cab to our hotel, and Y/n threw herself onto the bed as soon as we got there. She was smiling with content as I slipped out of my shoes and jumped onto the bed next to her.
Y/n immediately rolled to me and wrapped her arms around me.
"I love you, Carlos," she mumbled, half asleep already. I sighed with glee; she's all and more I could ever wish for.
"I love you too, Y/n," I kissed her forehead and turned off the light. The street lights outside gave the room a soft brightness.
It was snowing. And what better place to see the year's first snowfall than at the Big Apple itself?
I spent at least another hour just watching the snow fall gently and thinking about Y/n.
She had planned this night out with my friends without me knowing. She said it was a surprise. That she was really proud of my success with Williams this year, and that I deserved a night full of joy.
And it really was.
The next day, I took her to Rockefeller Centre to ice skate. The giant Christmas tree looked absolutely beautiful in Y/n's eyes.
She stared at it like she'd seen an angel, the same way I stared when I ever saw her.
Christmas really is filled with little wonders.
And as we skated around the rink hand-in-hand, I knew that Y/n was the only wonder I'd ever need in my life.
So, as I sit here, Y/n asleep next to me after a long day of shopping around New York, holding this tiny velvet box, I know that tomorrow will be the best day of my life.
And that, undoubtedly, she'll say yes.

Aaaaghh so cuuuuuteeee!!!
Anybody seeing New York this Christmas?
Lots of love and see you tomorrow,
x
Brooke
