Dear Diary...
...We went to watch a basketball game while in Miami this year.
Y/n and I sat courtside, close to the players, and it was more than fun. The game was well-played, the people were excited, and I was able to say hello to a couple of players.
But the best part? Y/n wrapped her arms around mine for the whole game.
She held popcorn on her lap and watched the game excitedly.
The funnest parts were right before the game started and during halftime.
I was interviewed before the game, like celebrities sitting courtside usually are, and the interviewer quickly passed on to the next person.
Y/n and I have been dating for almost three years. She and I keep our dating life as private as possible, but it is known that we're dating.
That way, we can make public appearances without suffering from online harassment or overflowing messages.
When the game started, Y/n suddenly kissed my cheek.
I turned to look at her and frowned with a smile: "What was that for?"
She smiled back: "For bringing me here."
I grinned. She loved going out with me to do random things. And I loved her for loving it as much as I do.
We've been to a couple of basketball games, some football games, and hockey games. Name the sport, and we've probably been to see a game.
It's a tradition of ours. We both love sports, whichever kind they be. And supporting these sports, no matter how, is something we try to do each year.
Two years ago, Y/n started a charity for worldwide youth sports. It collects donations and spreads them across children's sports clubs around the world to support and uphold them.
It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen her do.
She quickly got the other F1 drivers to donate to her charity, and soon enough, lots of other sportspersons and athletes donated as well.
Now, two years later, she's donated more than two and a half million US dollars to various clubs, helping save thousands of children's dreams.
Last year, Y/n and I visited one of the clubs that received donations. It was a volleyball club in Colombia, supporting over thirty young boys and girls who dreamed of doing the sport.
It was a beautiful experience, and I only grew fonder of Y/n.
So, as we sat there, watching the game, I felt happier than ever. She'd accomplished her dream of helping children, and I mine, of having her by my side.
We watched the game, went to our hotel room, and the next morning, went to our favourite sport: Formula 1.
