I can't believe it. As a fan who has been following Lando since the beginning of his F1 career, then, as a Max Verstappen fan, this is the best day of my life.
Formula 1 has always been a part of my life- my grandfather showed my father, who was a huge Senna fan, continued watching the sport after the icon passed.
He then taught me at a young age to love the sport, and I grew to love it in my own way.
McLaren always has been and always will be the team I support, and when Lando joined in 2019, I knew that he was the one I'd support from now on.
To see his growth over the years, his development and commitment to the team have been extraordinary.
And now, as he stands on the top step, taking the World Championship home, I feel like the happiest person in the world.
I hope all of you who are Lando fans as well can at least understand what I'm feeling, and enjoy this win! We all deserve it, mostly Lando and the team.
To all of you who are Max or Oscar fans, you did really well. I believe that fans make up a huge part of a driver's motivation to go on, to fight. And it doesn't matter if those fans are at a race or simply watching from home.
It's been a wonderful season, and it's sad to say goodbye to DRS, to Kick Sauber, to Yuki, and Isack and Liam's lip-syncing.
2026 will be a blast.
I can't wait to see what it will be like.
Until then, let's celebrate the newest addition to a short list of World Champions and enjoy the holidays!
