Dear Diary...
...We baked pastries today. Fitting, huh? Y/n couldn't stop laughing when I told her about the whole Oscar Pastry thing.
She was holding onto her belly as she laughed uncontrollably in the kitchen.
I was grinning while watching her, and I washed the dishes.
"Oh, gosh, Osc, there's no way!" she laughed, and I couldn't hold my own laugh back. I shut the tap, holding my wet hands inside the sink as I buried my face into my arm to stop laughing.
It didn't work, though, and when Y/n lost control over her legs and stumbled to the ground, it got even worse.
"Oh my god," I caught her just in time as she fell, and her laugh filled the room, which lit up my heart.
As she sank to the ground, I pulled her into my hug, holding her close as she calmed down.
She was leaning into my chest, and I could smell her hair. I felt like heaven to have her so close to me.
"Oh, Osc," she chuckled, her insane laugh passing, "I'm sorry."
She was wiping away a tear from how hard she was laughing, and I frowned: "Sorry why?"
Y/n looked up at me, and the shine in her eyes made me fall in love with her all over again.
"Well, for laughing so much," she answered, wrapping her arms around my neck.
I shook my head: "Hearing you laugh is the best medicine in the world."
Y/n watched me like I'd asked her to marry me. She was smiling, happy, and somehow fascinated. She shook her head, and I saw tears well up in her eyes again.
"What? What's happening, what's wrong?" I asked, wiping the tears away.
She shook her head slowly: "No one has ever said anything as kind as that to me."
I smiled at her.
"I love everything about you, Y/n."
She smiled, leaned towards me, and kissed my cheek.
I held her close as the scent of the pastries filled the room.
"Hmm, that smells good," she said quietly as she rested her head against my shoulder.
I chuckled: "It does."
As I helped Y/n stand up again, we made our way to the sofa to wait for the pastries to finish up and cuddled against each other while watching the snow fall quietly outside.
She quickly fell asleep on my chest, and I, comfortable with her weight pressing against me, fell asleep as well.
It was only when the timer beeped that we both woke up again, and then we enjoyed some well-deserved pastries.
