X for X-mas
Light snowfall pattered against the windows, and a faint scent of cinnamon and apple flowed through the house.
Christmas had rolled around again, and everyone was feeling jolly and happy, especially since Kimi had signed with Mercedes for 2025.
I was incredibly proud of him for achieving his dream.
As we sat around the Christmas tree in the living room with his family, quiet Christmas music played in the background, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
Kimi and I sat on the sofa, his arm around my shoulders as we watched his younger sister open a gift from the two of us.
We had gotten her a dress she had been asking for for months. It was beautiful- pastel yellow with little golden details.
She excitedly unwrapped her gift and gasped when she saw it.
"What?!" she exclaimed, "There is no way!"
I smiled at Kimi: "See, I told you she would like it."
He grinned and kissed my cheek: "She loves it, Y/n."
Kimi's parents watched with big smiles as his sister examined the dress. They laughed when she ran to her bedroom to try it on.
"All right. So this one," I grabbed a small box and handed it to Kimi, "is for you."
He smiled, kissed my cheek and removed his arm from behind my shoulders to open the package. It was delicately wrapped into a silk cloth, which Kimi removed with an excited smile.
In it was a white box, which he carefully opened to reveal a silver bangle bracelet, with obsidian stones around the whole thing.
Kimi marvelled at the bracelet and immediately tried it on. He fell in love with the composition of the bracelet and shot me a look that said it all.
I smiled: "Do you like it?"
He scoffed: "Are you crazy, Y/n, I love it!"
I chuckled and he pulled me into a tight hug. His parents were interested and so he showed them the bracelet, which earned me some positive comments and grateful notes.
"I'm glad you like it, Kimi," I said quietly to him as his parents were talking to each other and opening other gifts.
He smiled at me, our noses almost touching: "Thank you, Y/n."
I pecked his lips, grinning at him. He chuckled, shaking his head: "Gosh you are gorgeous."
I smiled, and Kimi pressed a kiss against my lips.
"The most beautiful girl in the world."
