The students needed sometime to rest. They had a busy day. A sad one. They had to mourn Landon. Well... Rafael is mourning him the most. As well as those close to Landon.
With Lycaon, Aurelius and Malivore gone, it seemed that their problems are over. But that's not simply true.
As Eli and Hope slept in the same bed peacefully, the former finds himself in Arcadia. Again. And beside him is Nikolaos in his old outfit. "You've done well, Eli. I pray the gods have mercy on my father's soul. Then again, they will likely not grant it, considering many of his horrific deeds."
"Yeah well... somebody had to kill him. I'd rather it be me than my uncles."
"I am sorry for your friend, Landon. I wish I can let you grieve for him some more. But time is of the essence. You must find the other Lycan families and free them from the binding curse. It will lead you to the answers of the past events you had witnessed after you killed my father." Ok, now Eli really needs to know how his ancestor knows what he saw. He was about to ask when Nikolaos added. "Someone far more powerful is allowing me to convey this message to you. If you free the families that were cursed by Aurelius, this being will reveal to you details about the past events and... your origins."
"I don't understand." Eli said truthfully.
"You will soon. Until then, Welkins are in Missouri. Find and help them however you can. They will lead you to the other families."

Alaric sits in his office, replaying the events that occurred last night.
Hope had become The Tribrid.
Eli killed Lycaon and he's now even more powerful than before.
Derek and Janet bested a Lich.
Cleo is alive, but Landon is dead along with Malivore.
When he made this school, he never imagined it will attract this much trouble and lose a few people here and there.
He wonders if it started with Eli Lockwood, the last known living Lockwood returning to Mystic Falls, or Hope Mikaelson being enrolled into the school, or Landon? Maybe all of those things or neither.
Three of his students became so powerful... so much so that many other students nicknamed the trio the top three.
With Malivore, Lycaon and Aurelius gone, they finally have some peace.
At least that's what Alaric thinks.
He's survived Damon, The Originals, Travelers, Kai, Heretics, Sirens, Cade and Katherine. And now he just survived a couple of more things. He wonders if he'll get a break.
He won't. Because Eli came into his office.
Alaric can see how much Eli has grown. No longer is he the angry or brooding boy he found a year or two ago.
He's a man no longer tormented by nightmares and trauma. No longer influenced by anger and hatred.
And it all it took was for one of his best friends to die by his hands. At least Damon and Elena were avenged.
The pictures on the wall are all that remains of his best friends. Only Matt, Caroline, Jeremy and Bonnie remain.
The son of Tyler Lockwood sat at the desk, in front of Alaric. "Raf will be alright. Just... not now. The pack and a the rest of Super Squad will support him. Be there for him."
Alaric nods with approval. "Good. How are you and Hope holding up?"
"She's adjusting. Me? Same. I mean I just killed the first lycanthrope, my ancestor, and became even more powerful. The lycans that followed him bowed to me. I became their alpha. So much on my shoulders." Eli said, not keeping eye contact with Alaric. He didn't expect this. At least he doesn't have to worry about teaching them about the modern world. Above all, they didn't like Lycaon, and are glad to be in their human form again.
