Eli is the only living Lockwood left. The only son of Tyler Lockwood and a werewolf mother.
He's also the first natural born werewolf/vampire hybrid.

Thanks to the potion crafted by Derek, with the aid of both his father and Kosmo's instructions, Eli recovered all of his strength. He's also taking a shower. He's only been in there for seven minutes. Washing off the dirt and blood he was covered in.
The memory of each kill keeps playing in his mind over and over again.
His uncles and cousins comforted him. And they've decided to support and protect the school however they can.
Once he was done, he visited Alaric in his office and met him, Derek and Hope, along with Kosmo. Despite looking in his thirties, Eli knows he's old and powerful to a certain extent. He, along with Lycaon are the first true lycans.
"How are you feeling?" Hope asked softly.
"I'm holding on. And it's gonna be awhile for me to get off of human meat." Eli replied as he's eating raw steak. He'd prefer if his prey was freshly caught, but oh well. It's a start.
MG, who is present, asked. "What's it like feeding on human meat?"
"It's kinda like how Pennywise feeds off of children. Only lycans can feed on humans regardless of age. In other words, taste good. But when they start to get scared, fear kicks in. Salting the meat." Eli replied, almost disgusted that he finds human meat tastier.
Not that Alaric blames him. He may have managed to get used to vampires feeding on blood, but lycans eating raw meat, in front of him no less, he doesn't think he'll ever get used to it. Even if it's animal meat.
Even Derek seemed a bit disturbed of Eli eating raw meat in front of him, but he doesn't comment on it, as he's been through a lot. "So what happened? I seem to remember Lycaon had way more lycans than that."
Eli swallowed parts of the steak and answered. "The hunters that we attacked put up a fight. A good fight. They had traps and everything and even magical artifacts. But they outta know better. Lycans our resistance against magic. So Lycaon sent me in after he lost about 70 pack members. He's down to 30. He was gonna replenish his numbers when he felt that his bond with me broke."
"And that's when he tried to rip your heart out." Kosmo summarized.
"Yeah."
"All the more reason to accelerate my plan. You must take my heart and eat it. Only then will you stand a chance to kill my father."
Derek agrees. And he brings up something else. "And we have Aurelius's soul gem and the weapon to destroy it. Now all that leaves is Malivore." Alaric stiffens at the idea of Malivore being killed.
"Landon and Cleo are still inside him. Deal with Lycaon and Aurelius however you want, but we still need to find a way to save Landon and Cleo without killing them."
Derek sort of agrees. Mainly because he doubts there's a spell powerful enough to separate Landon and Malivore. "I mean I can do some research, but... Ric, if we can't..."
