Friday evening settled softly over Manila, the sky melting into warm shades of orange and fading blue as Khae pulled up in front of Gwen's house.

The engine ticked as it cooled. Inside the car, neither of them moved right away.

It had become something unspoken between them—this habit of lingering a little longer than necessary, as if the moment between arrival and goodbye deserved its own quiet space.

Aiah leaned back in her seat, looking at Khae instead of the house.

"You know we're doing the driveway thing again," she said lightly.

Khae glanced at her, lips curving. "I'm aware."

Aiah tilted her head toward Gwen's house. "Gwen's going to say we're taking too long to get out of the car."

"She's probably right."

That made Aiah laugh under her breath. She shifted slightly as if she might finally get out—but didn't.

Then her gaze drifted forward.

A car slowed in front of Gwen's house.

It didn't pass.

It hesitated.

Then pulled over.

Aiah frowned slightly. "...Wait."

The driver door opened.

A familiar figure stepped out carrying two oversized eco bags and a backpack slung over one shoulder, moving like he belonged exactly there.

Aiah's eyes widened.

"It's him!"

She was out of the car before Khae could even react.

"Babe—"

But she was already gone, the passenger door shutting behind her.

"Chico!"

He looked up immediately, grin breaking across his face like he'd been waiting for exactly that reaction.

"Aiah boo!"

They met in the middle of the driveway and collided into a hug that felt more like reunion than surprise. Chico laughed as the bags shifted awkwardly between them.

"Careful," he said. "These are highly sensitive emotional support snacks."

Aiah pulled back just enough to look at him. "You didn't tell me you were already on your way."

"I didn't," he said easily. "I like dramatic timing."

She scoffed, smiling anyway. "You're unbelievable."

"I try."

Behind them, Khae finally stepped out of the car, watching the scene with quiet amusement. She had seen that sight before. Back then, it hurt her. Now, she doesn't feel jealous anymore.

Chico's gaze shifted past Aiah—and softened slightly.

"Oh," Aiah said, turning. "Right. You two have already met."

Chico nodded once at Khae. "Long time no see."

Khae's expression warmed. "Welcome back to Manila."

No awkwardness. No hesitation. Just familiarity that made Aiah blink between them.

"...Okay," she said slowly. "Why are you two acting like this is normal?"
