The airport was busy.

Announcements echoed from the speakers.

Passengers moved in every direction, pulling luggage behind them, carrying coffee cups, checking their phones, and rushing toward their assigned gates.

But for the girls, everything felt slower.

Maybe because they weren't just waiting for a flight.

They were waiting for the end of something they didn't want to end.

"Okay."

Christine looked around the departure area.

"I have a question."

Everyone already knew that tone.

"What?" Gwen asked.

"Why do airports make leaving feel so dramatic?"

Yves raised an eyebrow.

"Because you're dramatic."

"No."

Christine placed a hand over her chest.

"I am simply emotionally connected to places."

"You cried when we left a restaurant last year."

"The food was memorable."

"It was fried chicken."

"Exactly."

The group laughed.

Even Aiah couldn't help smiling.

Some things never changed.

After checking in their luggage, everyone found seats near one of the cafés while waiting for boarding.

Chico returned with drinks for everyone.

"I remembered everyone's order."

Christine looked impressed.

"That's actually impressive."

"Like I've known you all for years."

"Still."

She pointed at him.

"Never underestimate your achievement."

Chico shook his head.

"I drove you around for days."

"And now you're being rewarded with my appreciation."

"How generous."

Aiah looked around the table.

The same group.

The same teasing.

The same laughter.

But something felt different.

Maybe it was because they were leaving.

Or maybe because she realized how much this trip had given her.

She had arrived in Cebu carrying a lot of thoughts.

The uncertainty after graduation.

The pressure of finding a job.

The fear of not knowing what came next.

But somewhere between the city tours, the beach, the whale sharks, and the late-night conversations...

She had remembered how to simply enjoy a moment.

"You're quiet."

Aiah looked up.
