The office was already awake by the time Aiah arrived.
Someone was discussing color palettes near the meeting room.
A printer hummed nonstop in one corner.
A video was rendering on one of the larger monitors while someone quietly complained that it had frozen at ninety-eight percent.
Again.
Aiah smiled as she walked to her desk.
It had only been a few weeks since she started working, but the place no longer felt unfamiliar.
There was something comforting about the organized chaos.
Creative people rarely worked in silence.
"Morning, Aiah."
She looked up.
Her team lead, Bea, was carrying a folder under one arm and a tablet in the other.
"Morning."
"Got a minute?"
"Sure."
Bea placed the tablet on Aiah's desk.
"The client approved the logo yesterday."
Aiah smiled.
"Really?"
"Mhm."
"But..."
Aiah laughed.
"There's always a 'but.'"
"There is."
Bea grinned.
"They've expanded the campaign."
She opened the presentation.
"We'll need social media assets, web banners, digital posters, and short motion graphics."
Aiah nodded while scrolling through the brief.
"Deadline?"
"End of the week."
"...That's ambitious."
"It is."
Bea smiled.
"That's why you're helping."
Aiah blinked.
"Me?"
"You've been doing well."
The words caught her off guard.
Not because she didn't believe them.
Because she hadn't expected to hear them so soon.
"You've got a good eye," Bea continued.
"And you take feedback well."
"That's surprisingly rare."
Aiah laughed.
"I'll take that as a compliment."
"You should."
The morning disappeared faster than she expected.
Layouts.
Typography.
Export settings.
Small revisions.
More revisions.
Then one tiny revision that somehow took thirty minutes.
Creative work was funny that way.
Sometimes changing one word meant rearranging an entire design.
