The first wave of customers finally slowed down close to midmorning.

For the first time since opening, Khae and Lindtsey had a chance to stop.

Not completely.

There were still cups to wash.

Tables to check.

Small things that needed attention.

But the constant movement had finally settled into a comfortable rhythm.

Khae leaned against the counter for a moment, letting out a quiet breath.

"I didn't know cafés could be this busy."

Lindtsey placed a few clean cups back on the shelf.

"Weekends are usually like this."

Khae looked around.

The tables were filled.

Customers were talking quietly.

A few were working on their laptops.

The smell of coffee filled the entire café.

"But it's fun."

Lindtsey looked at her.

"You still think that after the rush?"

She quickly pulled it out.

Messages.

Missed calls.

All from Aiah.

Khae stared at the screen.

"I really forgot."

Lindtsey glanced at the phone.

"Aiah?"

Khae nodded.

"I usually message her when I wake up."

She opened the chat.

The messages were waiting.

Then the missed calls.

Khae covered her face slightly.

"I feel bad."

Lindtsey smiled softly.

"You were busy."
