In her mind it was a dark place. A dark place full of dangerous thoughts and malicious plans. Inside, her soul was black. On the outside, Valkyrie Cain hid it with a smile.
Darquesse was on the verge of rising, her power growing. It was getting harder to control her now, but Valkyrie still managed. She was still stronger.
She went about her so called 'normal' daily routine. Fighting bad guys, saving the world, then going home and doing it all again the next day.
Today however, today was different. Somehow, her mind was darker than usual. Bad thoughts entered her head. They shocked Valkyrie so much that for a spilt second she let her guard down, and Darquesse pushed through the barrier she'd built up.
Not only was her mind messed up... Her entire being was. Darquesse laughed to herself and rose high into the air, the sounds of everyone's screams like music to her ears.
It was a dark place in her mind...
