Back at the station again, I was rushing myself to go to Chief's office right away. I entered the office and as I opened the door, guess who was with Chief already.
"Hey Styles! Good to see you. I’m just wondering why you don’t have also my donuts, like what Bob’s having. He is on his good time right now eating them all, and not sharing with the boys", Chris boastingly said, while he was standing up from his comfortable seat.
"I’m sorry Chris, or should I say, Chris Arkline! Enough with the talk about donuts! Alright, I’m going to share something with the rest of you guys, something more special than the donuts!” I exclaimed, while I was facing Chris directly.
"Styles, what’s the meaning of this?", Chief Myers suddenly asked.
"Jay, what’s up with you now? I told you to lay down yourself from coffee. It won’t make you genius!” Bob exclaimed also.
"Save it Bob! Chief, this man, Chris Arkline, is currently working with his brother, who’s working at Halford Inc.", I said.
"What are you talking about? His brother was already dead", Chief said.
"No! I’m not lying. His brother is still alive right now! You got to believe me please!"
"Styles, you can never lie in front of us, especially in a police station", Chris said calmly.
"Shut up Chris! You better be quiet! There’s no reason for you to calm every one of us with your lies!"
"Jay, you need to . . ."
"I said, save it!"
I apparently turned to Chief Myers and told him everything I know:
"Like what Bob told me a while ago that there has been a new case updated, and it’s about the Rushford Laboratory robbery, I hurried to the lab in an instant. Then, I heard that Chris was already there in a second, talking to his brother, about an offer that he should accept: an opportunity to work with his brother at Halford Inc. His brother is also the cause of the robbery, and which we know also that there has been a hostile takeover at Halford Inc., still courtesy of his brother. So, why am I telling you all about this? I just want to inform you that Chris Arkline here is the material of the crime, and he should be stripped out of his career and be ended up in jail for lying to his comrades, and for breaking the mission and vision of our institution!"
"Styles, you told us everything you know, but there’s still a rule here that you shouldn’t expose a police officer into a situation without any evidence. Your statement is still null and void. Styles, you have violated our rule and you know my punishment is to those people who submit themselves without disciplinary action", Chief Myers said.
I stayed quiet for a minute. After that, I picked up my gun and held Chris into restraint.
"So much for being a cop, Chris! You lied to these people for a very long time, including me. You must experience what you mean by the word, ‘dead’!"
"Hold it Styles! You’re getting out of hand now!” Chief Myers exclaimed, while he was pointing his gun at me.
Everyone in the building had followed Chief.
"Put the gun down now Styles!"
"Styles! Drop your weapon!"
"Styles! We’ll be forced to take you down, if you don’t stop with your ranting!"
"Jay! You need to listen to these guys! You have no choice, but to drop your act now. Put down the gun!” Bob exclaimed.
I calmly set Chris free from my arm and dropped my gun. I looked hopelessly down on the floor.
"Simmons, arrest Styles now, relieve him out of his weapon, and strip him from his badge", Chief Myers said.
Bob approached me, got my gun, stripped my badge and restrained me with handcuffs.
"Styles, you're being arrested for restraining another police officer and exposing him out without further evidence. I hereby sentence you that you’re now expelled from your duties and you’re also banned to enter this building. Furthermore, you’re also completely out of the case", Chief Myers strongly said.
"With all due respect Sir, but you’ll be sorry someday that you disposed me of your force", I lastly said.
"Simmons, drive him home now", Chief said.
"Yes Sir", Bob affirmed.
As we descended the stairs, Chris approached us and said:
"I told you Styles. You can never lie in a police station."
"Screw you Chris! We’ll meet again, and the next time we do, you’ll pay", I said back.
Chris just smiled at me, as I exited the office.
"I’m sorry Jay, but I have to do this. I don’t want to be stripped also", Bob apologized, while he was driving.
"It’s okay Bob. Chris is such a dirty cop. If he wants to play dirty with me, I will be his game", I said.
"You know Jay; you’re one of the trustiest friends I have ever met. I believe in you", Bob said.
"Believe me that when that right time comes. You’ll soon see it", I finally said.
