". . . Alpha, this is Unit 5 and 6! Do you copy? Alpha, do you copy?” I kept on contacting the RPD, if there was someone alive.
". . . Jay, stop it now! Didn’t you see what happened back there? They remained at their posts, without knowing that those infected citizens have the guts to dodge every shot like Jet Li, and no one can do it, even we don’t! They’re freakish! They’re insane! They’re stupid!” Bob terrified, as he shouted at me.
I just sat down still, slouched on the dashboard, and kept quiet.
"Bob, just calm down and everything will be alright. Don’t blame Jacob for all of this. Your squad gave their lives just to save us. We have to be proud and avenge them from the dead", Debbie said.
"You know something Missy; this is the part of us policemen that you won’t understand, and any of you won’t. So be quiet."
"Hey! Don’t talk to her like that! If you don’t want us here with you, you better pull over now and we can take care of ourselves, rather than we waste our time sitting here in your car and think about this stupid catastrophe!", Hunnigan shouted at Bob.
Bob pulled over at the middle of the road.
"Alright, so we’ve just come to this. Jay, where did you get them? You shouldn’t have brought them with us. We might just get bitten to death, with the trouble that they might cause us!"
Suddenly, Hunnigan lost her temper and got out of the car. Her friends followed her, as Bob also got out.
"Hey Hunnigan, don’t walk away from a police officer! Otherwise, I’ll arrest you!” Bob shouted.
"I don’t care! How will I be arrested by a fool like you, in this deserted place? Think about it!” Hunnigan shouted back.
"Bob, just stop it! Just you stop it!” Ashyra shouted at Bob, while she was pushing him away.
"Hold it right there Miss! You’re now pushing me!", Bob shouted at Ashyra, as he seized and handcuffed her.
"Let me go, you monster!"
"Hey, maniac! Let her go!” Debbie shouted at Bob, as she pulled Ashyra away from him.
"Enough! Bob, let her go, or else, I’ll shoot you!” I shouted at him also, as I pointed my gun at him.
"Come on now Jay. You can’t do that to me. We’re best friends", Bob said and laughed.
I pointed the gun to the sky and I pulled the trigger.
“Bang!”
"Do I look like I’m kidding now Bob? Let the lady go", I said.
Without any justifications, Bob unlocked the handcuffs and set Ashyra free.
"Let me tell you something now Bob, we’re not in the force anymore, so you need to behave nicely to these ladies, because they can still use you as their guardian. So you better not misbehave, and please, be a man!” I told him.
Then, I turned myself to the nurses and said:
"My apologies. Forgive Bob because he’s just having his tantrums. You know, he does that when gets out of control of his own self."
Suddenly, an idea came into my mind.
"Bob, enough with this. We can survive this. You only need to cooperate with the rest of us. Come on; gather around me because I have something to tell you all."
They started to listen to me, and they gathered around.
"We’ve seen everything; we’ve seen how our squad gave their lives. Now, it’s up to us who’ll avenge them. My heart goes out to the poor civilians, who have been infected, but I’m truly sorry for them, I won’t let you risk your lives just to give them what they hunger for. Instead, we have to kill them."
