"Hey! Hey! Wake up, wake up!"
Diane opened her eyes and she could see Brock jiggling her.
"Come on now Diane. It’s already in the afternoon and I’m starving", he said, while he was touching his abdomen.
Diane set up and she looked around. She saw that the whole city had already come to its ruins.
"Hmm, my head. Brock, how long have we been here?” she asked, while she was touching her forehead.
"I don’t know, but I know something: we’ve just passed meal time!", he replied.
"I’m sorry Brock. I don’t even know what happened between us."
"Hold it right there, Montgomery! We didn’t do anything stupid. I just woke up here, with your foot resting on my face. I suggest you need a foot spa now."
Brock helped her to stand up. As she looked around, everything was disorganized. The windows of shops were completely shattered. There was blood everywhere on the road. A group of cars piled up against each other. Few billboards were already crashing down.
"Where is everybody? The city is empty. Do you know what happened here?" Diane asked him.
"I don’t even know a thing. Just like what I told you: I only woke up just like you without knowing everything in sight. I don’t even know why we were sleeping in the middle of the road", he replied.
"You’re right. Everything’s strange here. Everything’s out of order now. Wait. Richard! He’s responsible for this mess! I think he’s still there at Halford Inc. We must get to him now!” Diane exclaimed, as she pulled Brock's arm.
"Wait also. Have you seen Randall? I thought; he’s been with us since we went to the factory", Brock asked.
"I don’t know where he’s at right now", Diane replied.
"I told you before that you must never trust that guy! Just look what he has gotten us. I remembered that he shot us dead and left us here!” he exclaimed.
Diane looked at him about being obvious of what condition they were in.
"I know that look. Wait. You’re right! I can still feel my body, I can still move my arms and feet, and I can still . . . smell your foot", Brock continued, while he was pinching his nose.
"Stop it Brock. Let’s just get out of here.”
While they were walking along a messed-up maze, they suddenly heard series of unwanted growls from a distance.
“Rrrrroooooaaaaarrrrr!!!!!”
"What was that?” Diane asked Brock.
"That’s just my tummy. I said a while ago that I’m hungry. Don’t you hear me? At least my tummy says it all", he replied.
"Keep quiet! I know that something is here and it follows us."
"Oh! Look! Diane, look! My favorite restaurant! I’ve never eaten in days. Come on! Let’s have a date, you and me", Brock happily exclaimed, while he was pulling Diane’s dress.
"Will you be quiet?! It’s not your tummy! Something is following us!” she nagged on him angrily.
Brock repeated and mimicked her sentences with his irritating, squeaky voice.
"That’s not how I sound!” Diane shouted.
Unbelievably, they saw the distant cars flying in the airspace, like there was a hurricane!
"Rrrruuuunnnn!!!!”
"What the . . .?! We’re not in the ‘Twister’ movie!” Brock shouted in fright, as he began to sprint.
