"Styles. Former RPD Officer Jacob Styles. Welcome aboard", a voice began to sound in my ears.
I could barely see him. I knew who he was. He held me captive inside a dark room. I couldn’t remember where I was.
"Styles wake up. Long time no see", that voice murmured again.
I hyperextended my neck and I opened my eyes wide. It couldn’t be!
"Wow! So are you surprised to see me again? What? What is it? You missed me for a long time? How dramatic."
I couldn’t scream, shout or talk because of a towel restraining my mouth. I could only just moan.
"You must be hungry Styles. Here, have some of this", he said, as he gave me a chocolate bar.
I refused by insisting on untangling myself to escape.
"Oh yeah. You still hate me after all. Listen to me very carefully Styles! I’m the most headlining cop of the RPD and you just took my chance of a lifetime! So that makes you think that you’re a fully-armed cowboy, rescuing survivors on a desolated city, huh? Well you’re absolutely wrong! You can never be a good guy, in a bad man's game, Styles."
I only stared at him talking himself out, while I was listening to his ranting.
"Alright, pay attention. It’s so smart to think that you’re here for an escape. I’m sorry but I must take it from here. After all that you lost your mind about leaving us with Chief along with a hundred cannibals so eager to eat our flesh. You did it once, and I’ll never let you do it again, not on my watch!"
"Oh yeah. I’ve just remembered the time when you lied to everyone at the station for exposing me as Randall's accomplice. Unfortunately, they didn’t handle your guts for too long. I’m so sorry about having you expelled from the force. I didn’t mean to kick you out in front of anybody else."
"Are you already sick of reminiscing those moments, big man? Well, I don’t, especially, if it’s already the time to have it your way."
What was he talking about?
"Okay Styles, I know that you just heard too much. I’ll give you a chance to let you forget our past and meet to the present. Well, here we are now and this is our present. Haha! I’m getting so redundant right now! Let’s skip to the future. Well, it’s yours and not mine."
Eventually, he removed the towel from my mouth and he went right at my back. I think he was doing something there.
"Chris, you’re still the traitor that I’ve known for days! You can never get away with this!"
"Still you can’t believe why I am still alive right now? I told you once that I’m better than you! Now, let’s see who’s the best man right now, if this whole subway will bury you underground!"
"You can’t do this! We used to be partners!"
"I’m a traitor, right? So accept it! Look at me here! You’re looking at a C-4 right now. Don’t ask me anymore where found this because you only got thirty minutes left to save your own life. If you’re too late to do that, then the whole grave is yours."
"Chris! You’re not also paying attention to me! I have with my friends right now and they’re looking for me! Disarm the bomb and surrender now and I promise you that you won’t suffer bad things like I do!"
"I can’t do that for many reasons Styles, unless if I can still talk to you for the remaining thirty minutes of your life! Goodbye old chump! We’ll never meet again", Chris lastly said, and then he took off.
Thirty minutes in counting to escape from here and tell my friends about this! I found out that I had a dagger in the bag. Good thing that he didn’t dispose of it.
