We stand on the town line, Robin holding my hand tightly, not wanting to say goodbye. Tears sting in my eyes but I bite my lip to hold them back. Because I know if I cry he won't leave.
"Bye" he whispers through his tears
He looks behind him toward the town line. Quickly, turns back around and kisses me, making it last. But I pull away after a few seconds, giving him the message that he has to go. He nods simply.
Before I know it he's stepped over the line that's separates me from him and his family. I watch as they hug and walk away from the town line. My heart aches as they walk away. I instantly regret my decision of letting him go. But it had to be done.
The tears finally fall down my face as I tear up the page that appeared to Robin of us which was supposed to be hope.
Villains don't get happy endings; I should know that by now.
