Chapter 24

Five minutes later

Emma

"The ambulance is on their way. How's she doing?" I ask

"Not good" Snow sighs

I look at Regina. Her face is getting paler by the minute. I could've done something, she didn't sound well earlier, I should've ignored Snow's advice and gone and checked on her. Things might've been sorted then.

"Emma, can you tell me what happened? Doctor Whale's probably going to want some answers as to what happened" Snow asks me

"I opened the door to invite her in. She looked ghostly pale, less pale than she does now. I told her to come in and sit down and the next thing I know I'm catching her in my arms" I explain

"God I'm such an idiot" I huff

"Emma this isn't your fault, Regina wouldn't have told us anything was wrong anyway. Don't blame yourself, she's going to be fine. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation as to what's wrong with her and if there is, I'm sure it's not serious" She reassures me

"I could've gone over earlier to check on her, I should've trusted my instincts and gone to check on her. Maybe she'd have been okay and things would be sorted" I whisper

"Emma please don't blame yourself, it's isn't your fault" Snow insists

It's all Emma's fault! Lol!
