I open the nursery door quietly and head over to the crib. Amelia's sound asleep in her crib but Isabella is wide awake, crying for a reason I don't know yet.
I reach into her crib and pull her gently into my arms, shushing her and rubbing her back in an attempt to soothe her.
"Hey, hey shush its okay. Mama has you" I whisper to her
She continues to cry so I pace up and down the nursery, bouncing her continuously as she cries. If she carries on she's going to make me cry and wake Amelia.
"Hey, Isabella, shush, its okay, shush, come on, calm down" I coo
She continues to cry, making me sigh deeply. In order to not wake Amelia I take Isabella out the room and into the kitchen, Isabella's cries getting louder. Zelena frowns at me when I walk in with a crying Isabella in my arms.
"Now what's wrong with my little niece" she coos, stroking Isabella's head softly
"I don't know, she won't stop crying" I sigh
"I'll make her up a bottle" Zelena offers, grabbing her bottle and the milk to heat it up
"Shush, hey, hey, come on, its okay" I continue whispering to my little girl
"Here we go" Zelena says, handing me the bottle of milk
I place the bottle gently into her mouth and her crying stops as she drinks it. Once the bottles empty I take it out of her mouth and she falls back to sleep. Finally.
"I think we found the problem" I whisper to Zelena
"Peace and quiet" Zelena laughs
I'm about to reply when my phone buzzes, revealing a text from Robin. I open it to see what it says.
'Hello my darling, come to Granny's at 6.30pm tonight, and wear something pretty, I love you xx'
"That's the only clue I get?" I say out loud
"Well if I were you, I would start getting ready, it's 11:00am already" she giggles
"Hey! I don't take that long to get ready!" I laugh
"Come on, get ready to go, I'll look after the girls for a bit" Zelena offers, taking Isabella from me
"Thank you" I smile, running upstairs to get ready
