Robin
I watch Regina as she sleeps her hand in mine. She looks peaceful, all the pain and tiredness gone from her face.
Suddenly, she moves in her sleep, her body tensing as a contraction happens. I rub her stomach softly to relax her a bit and to reassure her that I'm here. The contraction subsides and she loosens her grip on my hand and relaxes, falling back into sleep.
I crawl beside her and wrap the covers over me with one hand as the other one is wrapped tightly in hers. I wrap my arm around her stomach and my eyes start to become heavy as I drift off into sleep.
