Chapter 235

1 hour later

Regina

Everyone's chatting and eating, enjoying the party that Robin organized for me. I've finally met August, Zelena's boyfriend. Of course I've met him before when he first came to storybrooke but I've never actually spoke to him. He seems nice. I kindly took him to the side and said that if her ever hurt Zelena, I would go back to my old ways and rip out his heart! He nodded and promised he wouldn't.

I can't believe I threatened my sister's boyfriend when we used to hate each other! It's amazing how far we've come.

I'm sat in a booth with Robin, Isabella in his arms and Amelia and mine. Henry came to see me earlier but he's talking with Emma on the other side of the room. Their relationships a little bit rocky right now and I'm not really sure why, he won't talk to me about it and neither will Emma. I'm letting them sort it out between them. I don't want to cause trouble.

"Excuse me everyone, can I just have your attention for a moment" Robin shouts over the buzzing of chatter

I look over to Robin who's now stood in the centre of the room, Isabella now sleeping comfortably in Zelena's arms. Robin gives me his hand and helps me up, handing Amelia over to Emma. I frown at him and he ignores it, pulling me into the centre of the room.

"So I'd like to say a few words. Regina and I haven't had the best past; our relationship has been a bit difficult. We were destined to be together many years ago but it just wasn't meant to be. Then decades later, we finally met and she hated me, for a while at least, until I managed to stop her from putting herself into a sleeping curse. She still resented me but I didn't give up trying. Then Zelena cast the curse, causing us all to lose our memories. Regina and I fell in love. For a few days we were happy but then Marian returned, and as you can imagine things were difficult between us all. Then Marian's heart became frozen and I had to leave Regina behind to look after my son and ex-wife. It was the hardest decision of my life to let this amazing, stunning, beautiful woman go but I had to think of my son" he starts

He takes a deep breath in

"But all those obstacles have got us to here, we have two beautiful daughters, Isabella and Amelia and I have my stunning soul mate back, and I wouldn't change any of those obstacles for the world because it got us to where we are now" he continues

"So Regina my darling, I love you and I promise I'll never leave you again and I'll love you forever, and I want to prove it to you" he adds

Before I even know what he's doing, he's on his knees, a diamond ring in his hand. I put a hand over my mouth, tears stinging in my eyes.

"Will you marry me Regina?" he asks

I nod, smiling and crying at the same time as I wrap my arms around him tightly, kissing his lips softly.

"I love you" he whispers

"I love you too" I whisper back

Everyone cheers and hugs us both in turn.

"Congrats, sis, Robin I'm going to say what Regina said to August, but better, obviously" Zelena starts making me sigh and roll my eyes sarcastically

"If you break her heart, I'll kill you, do you understand that?" she says

He nods, laughing and hugging my sister

Henry comes up to me and wraps his arms around me so tightly I can barely breathe.

"Congratulations mom" he says

"Thank you Henry" I smile

"And with that everyone, we call it a night! By all means you can stay here but the bride to be and I are going home" Robin says, wrapping his arms around my waist

"Ready babe?" he asks

I nod and we say goodbye to everyone and walk out of Granny's a bright smile on my face.
