Two hours later
Robin
I haven't left her side for the past two hours; I'm scared that something will happen if I do. She hasn't moved or woken. She's stayed sound asleep for the past two hours.
Suddenly, I feel her hand move and her eyes flutter open slowly. She sighs deeply and slowly turns her head.
"Hey babe" I whisper to her
Tears run down her face and she starts shaking with tears. I move next to her and wrap my arms around her small frame.
"Hey, it's okay, you're okay" I whisper to her
She continues to cry, her shoulders shaking frantically. After a while she lies still and lifts her head up.
"What happened?" she asks
"You have a fever that's all and it was at its peak, but you're okay, you're going to be fine" I explain
She nods simply and nuzzles her face in my chest again
"I love you" I whisper to her
"I love you too" she whispers back, falling back into sleep
I lie her down on the pillow gently and sit back down in the chair, taking her hand in mine.
