My door opens quietly; I switch on the light to reveal Regina, a hand to her stomach
"Hey, I couldn't sleep" she smiles
"Me either" I sigh, tapping the mattress beside me
She sits down beside me, resting her head on the headboard.
"Did you have a nightmare? You were yelling" Regina asks through the silence
"Oh no, I banged leg on the bed" I lie
"Okay" she says, not believing me
"Are you okay?" I ask
"I don't feel very well" she says
I put my arm around her and tears roll down her face.
"I don't want to do this anymore" she whispers
"I know, I know. But it's all worth it in the end because you get your baby" I reassure her
"No I don't, I get them taken away from me" she blurts
"Regina, we have a way to defeat Maleficent for good! I promise you, I'm not going to let you get hurt!" I reassure her again
"You promise?" she asks
"I do" I nod, not knowing if I can keep my promise
She doesn't reply because she's fallen asleep
I don't know if I can keep that promise, I don't want Regina to pay the price but I don't want to give up her baby either...
