"Can you lift up your shirt?" she instructs me
I do as she says and lift my top up, exposing my stomach. She places her hand onto my stomach and presses firmly and then continues in different places of my stomach and then places a metal tube to my stomach, placing her ear to it to listen to the baby's heartbeat.
She has a sad expression on her face as she does it. I don't have to look at her twice to know something's going off.
"Are you okay?" I ask
"I'm fine" she nods, I know she's lying
"Zelena?" I say, raising my eyebrows
"Regina I'm fine! I'm just tired" she says
I huff in reply, she'll tell me eventually
"Right, baby's perfectly fine, nice strong heartbeat, everything's fine. Like you said they were just kicking" she reassures me
"Thank goodness for that" I sigh
"You stay in here and rest, I'll get you something to eat" Zelena says, about to head out the door
"There's some ice cream in the freezer" I smile
"Oh heaven help me! Your cravings have started already!" she laughs
I giggle in reply as she heads out the door and down the stairs.
