It had been two years. Two years since any incident. Bruce had been doing so well since he met you, he hadn't turned into the other guy since you had met him and you couldn't have been prouder. You had managed to always make him feel calm and safe. So you were confused to come home from work to find Tony screaming like a girl and the other Avengers telling you not to go into the lab.

"Why can't I go in there?" You pushed your question again, trying to persuade Steve into letting you in.

Your question was answered by an almighty roar coming from inside the lab, followed by loud crashes and bangs. That meant only one thing. The other guy was out.

"Oh my god." You shouted, pushing past Thor and Steve who had previously been blocking the entrance to the lab to ensure everyone in the towers safety. "What the hell happened?!"

Everyone turned their heads to Tony who had a guilty expression playing on his features.

"Tony," You spoke, walking over to him so you were right up in his face. "What did you do?"

"Uh." He looked everywhere but you, trying to avoid the question. "I don't really know. I said something and then next second the other guy was out."

Another roar sounded from inside the lab, notifying you that the other guy was getting angrier and angrier. You would have to do something quickly.

Before you could even think up a plan, the lab doors were yanked clean off, the suspect on the other side.

The other guy stood there, lowly growling. He eyed everyone up like they were his next meal.

"Bruce it's us!" Steve shouted, pulling his shield up at the ready. Thor began to swing his hammer round and round, ready to attack.

"No!" You called. "Stop it, don't hurt him."

"(Y/N), are you crazy? He's gonna tear us apart if we don't do something?" Natasha shouted, readying her pistols, not that they would do much.

"Just give me a second." You warned. They all stood down, taking a few steps down the hallway. You carefully stepped over the debris, making your way to Bruce.

"Hey big guy." You spoke, your voice quiet but still loud enough for him to hear. His head whipped around at your voice. His growls got louder, his large muscles tensing. "It's me. It's (Y/N)?"

His expression softened slightly at the sound of your name. He carefully stepped over to you. "(Y/N)?"

You smiled as he said your name, "Yes Bruce, it's me." You held out your hand to him slightly. He flinched back, thinking you were going to try attack him but when he noticed you were only holding it out to him he relaxed.

He slowly and steadily extended his large green hand out, letting it rest on top of yours, as not to hurt you. You let your small fingers gently run up and down his hand, tracing the patterns and scars. The other guy was completely hypnotised by what you were doing.

After a few minutes of you doing this, he began to screech slightly. He fell about everywhere, his body colour returning back to its usual tanned colour, his frame rapidly getting smaller and smaller until he was his regular size.

You took off your large jacket, wrapping it around his body. He turned to look at you. "Did I hurt you? How many people did I hurt?"

You went to speak but were cut off by Steve, who you forgot was there. "You didn't hurt or kill anyone Bruce. (Y/N) here calmed you down just like that." He said, clicking his fingers on the word that.

"You did what?" Bruce asked turning to face you, a confused look on his face.

"I just hypnotised the other guy so that his heart rate would decrease. It slowly calmed him down, and now we're here."

"Thank you (Y/N). I love you." You wrapped your arms around him in a comforting hug.

"I love you too, Bruce."

"Enough of the sappy stuff, you both are acting like a pair of love sick teenagers." You chuckled at Tony's comment.

"Tony weren't you screaming like a little girl two minutes ago?" You fired back, a smirk on your face. The rest of the team burst out laughing at Tony's offended expression. He just walked off, muttering something to himself.

The rest of the night was spent with Bruce, making sure he didn't go back into the lab and keeping his mind of The Other Guy.
