It had been three hours. You had been sat in this restaurant for three whole hours waiting on your date turning up. The first hour you thought maybe you were just early or he was stuck in traffic or something like that. The second hour you were beginning to feel embarrassed, the other customers in the restaurant kept staring at you, clearly noticing the fact that you had been stood up. The waitress felt sorry for you, she kept offering you drinks and food. By the third hour you were almost in tears.

The one time you have the confidence to go out with a guy and he completely stands you up, leaving you completely mortified.

On your way out the same waitress gave you a sympathetic smile, muttering a quick "he's not worth it, honey."

On your walk home, you began to ponder over all of the reasons as to why your date had ditched you. Had he been leading you on? Had he changed his mind and thought you were ugly? There were so many reasons that were making you feel more insecure by the second.

Your eye sight had gone blurry due to the tears that were spilling from your eyes. Your heels were now in your right hand, your left hand constantly wiping away your fallen tears. Your feet were aching as they scraped against the concrete but your heels were to uncomfortable to walk in.

"Stupid boys." You muttered, your face scrunching up in a frown as your eyes focused on your feet.

Before you knew what was happening, you were knocked off your feet and went tumbling to the ground. You looked up to see a silver haired man staring down at you.

"I'm so sorry." He gushed, reaching down to help you up. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

His accent was unfamiliar to you, it was like nothing you'd ever heard before. The man before you was very attractive. He had a slight stubble forming around his jawline and his messy silver hair fell over his face in the most natural way.

"It's fine. I'm okay." You mumbled, looking away from the man. All you wanted to do was get home, dry off and watch Gotham. Is that too much for a girl to ask?

"You're not okay." He stated, a frown on his face. You turned to face him, eyes widening.

"Excuse me?" You asked.

"You're crying. Why are you crying?" He pushed the subject farther. He was definitely forward and didn't care for being nosy.

"I believe that has nothing to do with you. If you don't mind I'd like to leave." You pulled yourself from his grip - he was still holding you from when he had picked you up.

"It does have something to do with me. I knocked over a beautiful woman, who happened to have make up and tears smudged down her face, and now she's saying she's okay?" He chuckled at the bewildered look on your face.

"I'm fine. My date ditched me, that's all." You muttered, tears beginning to fall again at the thought of sitting on your own I'm the restaurant.

"Why would he do that? Who would ditch a beautiful woman such as yourself?" You blushed at his kind words, and here you were thinking gentlemen had gone extinct.

You just shrugged in reply, not really in the mood for talking about it.

"Well to cheer you up maybe one day I could take you on a date? If you wanted to, you don't have to." You chuckled slightly at the mans fast paced talking, he was clearly nervous.

"I don't even know your name yet?" You asked, hinting for him to give you it.

"Oh- oh right. I'm Pietro Maximoff." He held out his hand for you to shake. "And yours?"

"(Y/N) (Y/L/N). It was nice to meet you Pietro. I'll take you up on that date." He grinned, fist pumping slightly. You laughed at his actions.

Your mind had completely forgotten about your previous situation, your mind now completely focused on the silver haired man. Who knew that one date would turn into many.
