Anna's Pov
When we finally arrived in front of the school entrance, I bet on a Koala's butt I was beet red from holding his hand during our walk to school. To be honest, it was a feeling I would never get used to.
To be frank, it was pretty much the same routine everyday. While David and I sauntered into school in the mornings and strolled around the campus during the day, all kinds of people of the student body would wave at us whenever we would walk by.
WAIT! Let me rephrase that. Everyone would wave at David when we walked by. I have to admit, he was getting pretty popular within our grade. All the students practically WORSHIPPED the ground he walked on. When I say all, I mean all. It didn't matter what kind of personality an individual had; David was loved by all of them.
Well, it was kind of the opposite for me. Instead of waves, I got glares. Instead of smiles, I received disgusted scowls. Why do people hate me? I don't know why. Maybe because my "oh-so" glamorous sexiness blinds their eyes, which is why they don't look at me. Or maybe my "oh-so" beautiful voice makes them deaf which is why they ignore me. Yeah, sounds right to me.
After dropping off our backpacks at our lockers and collecting the books we needed for our upcoming classes, we headed towards our homeroom.
"Ugh, school hasn't even started and I'm already tired of being here." David whined, sitting down in his usual seat; the front row by the door. Behind him, his admiring "fangirls" nodded frantically, making sure he noticed that they agreed with every statement that would come out of his mouth. Heck, he could tell them they were hideous and they would still repeat the action. It was only freshmen year and they were dressed like they got their clothes from "Babies 'R' Us. Their clothes looked way too small to even be considered clothing; more like pieces of fabric stuck to their bodies. I smirked at the sight of how they looked like stupid fake blond bobble heads.
Who am I kidding? They're already stupid. Silly old me.
Many painful and torturing hours later (15 minutes), the bell rang and everyone walked out the room to their next classes. David and I walked side by side, chatting about the "hoverboard" we found out about online a few days ago. And to be honest, I knew that I would fall off even before I put a toe on that thing.
"David! Over here!" I heard an ear piercing voice from behind. I grudgingly turned around and saw the monster herself; Ava Meddly. Ugh. Ava. Even her name sounded disgusting, which definitely suited horrid personality.
(If your name is Ava, I'm sorry I insulted your name, you're beautiful)
She strutted confidently over to David attempting to wink at him flirtatiously, flipping her hair over her shoulder like models normally do in hair product commercials.
In that moment, I knew, I wanted to die..
Of laughter.
Normally in movies, the popular girls would have like a beautiful entrance in the scene, but this is just... wow. There isn't enough of a ghastly word describe how much of an eye sore it was to watch that very moment. First of all, her attempt to "wink" looked like an eyelash got caught on her eyeball, so she decided to twitch the life out of it to get it out. I could absolutely see the resemblance between herself and of the old deformed witch from Snow White. Secondly, when she flipped her hair, it whipped her friend's face, who glared to her from the back of her head. One of the girls in her group seemed that she had no idea how to use makeup correctly, and her eyebrows were poorly filled in. It was as if she went into the forest and decided to put hedgehogs above her eyes to give them a habitat to stay in.
My savagery has been activated.
"Wanna walk together? You know, because we have the same class and all obviously." Ava popped her lip out, making her look like a suffocating fish.
Boi, I'll pop out your crusty eyes out of you keep looking at my man.
"Um.. sure. I bet Anna won't mind. Right?" David answered, glancing back at me with a hopeful grin.
Too friendly and nice, that male is. No wonder the whole student body likes him.
Anyway, are you kidding me?! "I bet Anna won't mind. Right?" No, LEFT. As in let's go together and we can say that we LEFT her. So here, have a nice bowl of SHUT THE HECK UP.
I forced a smile on my face, obviously not wanting to displease my hopeful best friend. I've always known he wanted a good reputation in the school, especially since it was his first year in high school. I didn't want to ruin the chances he had.
"Sure! Ahaha! You guys just go! I'll be fine!" I waved them off, trying to flaunt at how FAKE my laugh was. Could they get a hint? Obviously not.
I helplessly gazed off as David and Ava walked off in the other direction, the blond headed bloke giving me a grateful grin.
You know what, David? I'll grate your grin off your stupid face.
"Hope you guys have a good freaking fantastic day!" I called after them, still putting my happy facade on. I sighed and turned the other direction where my next period was. "Without me."
