Anna's Pov

I must have been out of my mind at the moment, but the adrenaline in my veins dismissed my doubts. I took prideful strides towards the library, without batting an eyelash to any of the questioning thoughts in my mind. I didn't know what I was going to do, so I allowed my feet to direct me.

Next thing I knew, my destination ended up in front of a familiar pair of emerald irises.

I took steady steps as I approached the library where I knew for sure he would be at. A smile unconsciously slipped on my face as I saw his eyes furrowed in concentration as he constantly shifted his eyes from his work and textbook. My so called "daring" demeanor calmed down as I managed out a breathless "Hi".

Louis' gaze turned up from the papers that spread over the table. "Hey Anna. What's up?"

His eyes bored into mine and I quickly looked away. I never felt comfortable holding eye contact for too long because I knew if I did I wouldn't be able to stop. It was something about his irises that held such intensity that had be always on edge.

I shoved away the jitters and plastered a smirk on my face, "You wouldn't believe what I just did. I'll consider it as a gift for you, because I just made David pay for what he did."

The brunette's eyes nearly popped out of his sockets and his lips turned upward into a surprised yet mischevious grin. "What did you do?"

"Well, let's just say that he is kind of drenched in milk and looks like the aftermath of the cookie monster."

"No way! You can't be serious." He exclaimed.

"Why? You don't believe a girl like me could do an action so cruel?!" I gasped. I put my hand dramatically on my chest, feigning hurt. "You should have a little more faith in me Lewis."

"Well, I do have my reasons..." He trailed off, earning an immediate smack on the back of his head.

Our bickering sadly ended as the bell rang, which signaled that lunch was over. I felt my whole body and mind deflate a little bit. The adrenaline from the events earlier had faded, and now I was only left by myself. I hated when moments with Louis would always have to come at an end. To be honest, a few words him made me feel like I could speak to him for eternity and just talk about anything and everything on our minds.

I watched him as he gathered his belongings on the table and I hesitantly began, "So, I guess I'll see you later. Bye."

"Wait!" He called out. "I was wondering if you were going to the basketball game. There are many people at come to it, especially with your friends. M-maybe we could go together and then visit some other places afterward. But if you have any other plans don't even wor-"

"Sure!" My head nodded frantically "Of course! I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"

"Definitely." I felt my insides melt into a puddle as he flashed me a huge grin. I sheepishly smiled and waved my final goodbye before sauntering to my next class.

I stepped into the classroom in just in the nick of time, and spotted an all too well known shade of blond out of the corner of my eye. I brought my eyes over to his figure glazed over his appearance. David's eyes looked droopy, as if he hadn't got enough sleep for the past few weeks. His hair was also frazzled, reminding me of his habit of running his hands through his hair whenever he was stressed or anxious.

Just at that moment, a tiny tinge of guilt stung my soul just a bit.

Just tiny bit.

However, I just it off and headed for my desk. As I put my binder down, my eyes wandered back to him, and I found him staring right back. I swallowed dryly and looked to the front of the classroom, where our history teacher began the lesson.
