Anna's Pov

By the time I got to school the next morning, I was almost ready to punch someone.

Yesterday, David and I had originally planned that he was going to pick me up and drive me to school because the volcano wasn't exactly easy to carry.

Because of our little scene yesterday, I hadn't realized that he had left me with the remaining undone work for the volcano that was due tomorrow and a mess in the house to clean up all by myself due to our paint fight. Not only did I have to get out of bed early to paint the darn volcano by myself, he never showed at my house to pick me up! With only half an hour to spare, I spent all of that time SPRINTING to school with a heavy backpack and a large volcano model in my hands.

I kicked open the metal doors with my foot with so much force, the doors almost hit the person walking in from the front entrance as well. I stomped through the hallways with no care whatsoever, and gave glares to anyone who so much glanced in my direction. Once I laid my eyes on David and found him talking to his friend, I was totally done with him.

"Here!" I kicked his leg, and he whipped his head around in annoyance, but his expression soon turned into realization.

"Anna! I'm so sor-"

"Shut up and turn this stupid project in!" I shove the heap of the painted material in his hand and clambered off.

I marched to my locker and ripped my backpack off my shoulders and practically threw all of my textbooks in my locker, not giving the items another glance.

When I finally got to the science room, I gave a tight smile to Mrs. Chenny as I handed her the dumb essay. I sat all the way in the back if the classroom and immediately slammed my binder in the desk, then let my head press against it. I was tired as heck from everything I did this morning, and it was all because of him.

"I'm sorry." I heard the voice I have been dreading all day. I refused to look at him, because if I did, I would probably forgive him within seconds.

"You're going to be the one mostly talking. I'll have a say in some stuff, but that's it. End of discussion."

"Please forgive me. I forgot I was supposed to pick you up. My mind was jumbled and I totally spaced out today."

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes, "First you leave me to clean the paint, then do rest of the project, forget to pick me up, and then almost kiss me but your phone stupidly rang."

I sighed loudly and kept my eyes closed, until I realized what was the last words I had said. I expected to saw another excuse or at least offer another apology, but he remained quiet for the rest of the class while each pair presented their awfully simple project.

During our presentation, David looked like he was avoiding looking at me the whole time. Even at lunch I didn't see him at the lunch table, but I saw him with his friends for once. All throughout the day, I didn't bother talking to him because I was still angry, but I certainly missed him. Riley gave me questioning glances during lunch, but I guess she knew I didn't want to talk about it since she didn't voice her opinion and just avoided the subject overall.
