Michael came downstairs and saw me eating my waffles and watching TV. He said, "Morning. Have you seen outside yet?" I looked behind me and said, "Yeah. It's winter now!" He chuckled and said, "I know." I finished my waffles and went back into the kitchen to put it in the sink. Before I could leave the kitchen, Calum called me back and said, "Hold up. You're gonna wash your dish." I looked at him confused and said, "Umm, why? I never do." He said, "Exactly. That's why you need to start. And I'll teach you. Roll up your sleeves." Oh, no. I can't roll up my sleeves. He'll see my bruise. Maybe I should just tell him the truth. No, because then he'll be mad at Louis for not containing his anger. I had to come up with an excuse. A good one. I said to Calum, "Actually, Michael told me to go clean my room."
Calum: Hmm... Okay, but right when you finish, you better wash these dishes.
Nicole: You got it, Calum.
I then ran upstairs to my room and closed my door. My room was already clean so I just needed to figure out a way to hide my bruise. Maybe I can wear tons of bracelets to hide it. I do have a lot. I scoured my entire room for any thing that could be used as a bracelet. I found 12 silly bands, 3 wrist bands, and a roll of tape. Yeah, I was desperate. I ran downstairs to the kitchen and said, "Okay, I'm ready," as I rolled up my sleeves to a set of many bracelets hanging weirdly off my arm. I thought it looked pretty normal before but now that I see it, I look pretty ridiculous. Calum furrowed his eyebrows and asked me curiously, "Um, why do you have a roll of tape on your arm?" You know, come to think of it, I could've just used my roll of tape to tape my entire wrist instead of wearing the roll itself. I just realized how stupid I am. ☹️ Anyway, I replied to Calum, "I just think it looks pretty stylish." He stared at me for several seconds and said sarcastically, "Yeah, me too." I smiled hugely at him trying my best to act normal.
Calum: Are you okay?
Nicole: Yeah, I'm fine. What makes you think I'm not okay?
Calum stared at me as he rolled up his sleeves and replied, "Nothing." I went over to the sink and from there on, Calum taught me how to do the dishes. And not only did I discover how to do the dishes, but I also discovered one other thing. That I hate washing dishes. 😒 Anyway, it wasn't that hard to keep my wrist covered but I admit, I did have to put some effort into it. I was okay though.
