Just before walking away from Luke, I remembered something. What that girl was saying. You know the one that I punched in the face. She was saying things about me and Luke. All those things were getting to my head and I suddenly felt uncomfortable sleeping in Luke's bed. I couldn't do it. Before Luke walked away, I said, "Wait, Luke," and he turned around. "Yeah?" He said.

Nicole: Umm, you really should sleep in your bed. I'm totally fine with sleeping on the couch. I don't want to take that away from you.

Luke: That's really nice of you, Nicole. But I think you really need to sleep there. It's good for you to have comfort when you're sick.

Nicole: I know, but I don't want to take any risks of throwing up on your bed. It's already enough trouble for me to be needing a new bed myself. I'll sleep on the couch. Keep your bed.

Luke: Well if you say so. I'll give you some extra pillows and a blanket too. But if you don't feel comfortable there, just come to my room and tell me and we'll switch, okay?

Nicole: Okay.

I started to cough and Luke said to me, "Go lay down on the couch. I'll get you a blanket and some pillows."

I did as he said and Luke came back with a blanket and 2 fluffy pillows. I was actually really comfy. I coughed some more and asked Luke, "Can you get me some Kleenex?" Luke replied, "Of course." He went upstairs and came back with a box of tissues. I blew my nose harshly into one and Luke went the kitchen, grabbed a garbage can, came back, and put it beside the couch. "Here," he said. I threw the Kleenex out. It seemed like Luke was capable of doing anything for me. He was being so nice and I appreciated it a lot. I said, "Thanks, Luke." He responded, "No prob." Luke began to walk upstairs and Calum came down the other staircase and saw me. He said, "I'm making myself some coffee. Do you want some?" Before I could answer, Luke came speeding back down the stairs in a heartbeat and interrupted, "No! No, no, no, no, no! It's late, and Nicole needs her rest. Coffee is going to keep her up." Calum argued, "Oh, come on, Luke. She'll be fine."

Luke: Nope. Give her tea. (Crosses arms).

Calum: Oh, yeah, like tea is going to help. Tea has caffeine too.

Luke: But not as much. You either give her tea, or you better make that coffee decaffeinated.

Calum: Ugh, fine.

Luke: Good.

Calum made his way into the kitchen and Luke went back upstairs as I stayed on the couch with a confused look on my face wondering what just happened. I guess Luke was pretty serious about taking care of me, he didn't want me to have too much caffeine or I'd be up later. As I stayed on the couch, I turned the TV on and watched some eNews. I was just an old episode anyway so I decided to watch some random things on TV like "How's It's Made" or something. (That is one very MESMERIZING TV show!)

Soon enough, Calum came back with some decaf coffee for me and I drank it up. It was pretty good.

While watching "How It's Made", the TV made this loud beeping noise and a red thick line appeared at the top of the screen. It said, "OPP Orillia Message". I looked closer to see what was going on. It continued to show some words. "Missing: White male, age 8 - 13, blue jacket, matching snow pants, dark hair." A child went missing? I was thinking, "Maybe some kid ran away." I kinda felt bad. But the next set of words that showed up made my heart beat a little faster. It read, "Abductor: Large build, dark hair, black jacket, white van." I got scared. Abductor is another word for KIDNAPPER. A kid got kidnapped?!?! And he's close to my age! But more importantly, this is close to my area!!! I hid my fear inside as I heard Ashton coming from upstairs.

"Okay, Nicole. It's almost 9:00. Time to get some rest, okay?" Ashton said to me.

Nicole: Ashton, are you seeing this?

Ash: (sees police warning) Oh, wow. That's near our area.

Nicole: Are the doors locked, Ashton?

Ash: Don't be scared, Nicole. All the doors are locked.

Nicole: Can you close the blinds please?

Ash: Sure.

Nicole: Thank you.

Ash: No problem. I gotta check outside first for anything suspicious. That's what these warnings are for.

Ashton made his way towards the window and looked outside. He didn't see anything so when he was done, he closed the blinds and double checked the doors to make sure they were locked. When that was done, he came over to me, said, "Good night, Nicole," kissed my forehead, and walked back upstairs. But even though all the doors were locked and the blinds were closed, I was still kinda scared. I mean, it was like hearing a scary story before you go to sleep. I'm the closest to the door so if some kidnapper walks in and sees me, I'll be their first choice on who to take! But the doors are locked, so I have nothing to worry about... I hope.
