Chapter 23

Nicole's POV

I woke up with my head on Ashton and as I sat up straight, I stretched and noticed everyone around us on the floor. I smiled while yawning. Ashton said to me, "Look what the cat dragged in." I shot my head towards Ashton and widened my mouth in shock jokingly. He laughed. I ignored his rude remark and said, "I'm guessing today's a snow day." Ashton replied, "I'm guessing that too. No school for you then."

Nicole: Yes! But, uh... why did everyone sleep on the floor around us?

Ashton: Well we did steal their blankets. It was a good idea for us all to sleep in a close space.

Nicole: I guess so. What time is it?

Ashton: (checks phone) 11:03.

Nicole: Well I want breakfast. Go make me pancakes, Ashton. 😌

Ashton: Excuse me? Last time I checked your legs weren't broken. 😏

Nicole: I can't make pancakes!

Ashton: And why's that?

Nicole: I don't know how.

Ashton: You don't know how to make pancakes? Well then I guess that's a reason for me to teach you.

Nicole: (groans) Come on. You're ruining my snow day, Ashton!

Ashton: Oops. Sorry, don't care. Come help me make pancakes.

Nicole: Why don't you ask the cat to help you?

(Luke wakes up)

Ashton: 'Cause he's too busy dragging Luke in.

Luke: Huh?

Ashton and I laughed so hard at that stupid joke. 😂 It actually made me in a good enough mood to go and help Ash make pancakes since I'm completely clueless on what to do.

While making pancakes with Ashton, Calum and Michael woke up and made their way into the kitchen. Michael said as he walked in with Calum, "Geez, what time is it?" Calum pulled out his phone and said, "11:19." Luke came in and said, "Nicole, don't you have school?"

Ashton+Nicole: Um, hello? Snow day!

Calum: ... Well you guys are officially the weirdest people on the planet.

(Nicole and Ashton laugh)

Ashton: Guys, get a kick out of this. Nicole didn't know how to make pancakes.

Nicole: Hey! Quiet!

Michael: Seriously? They're pancakes, Nicole. Pancakes.

Nicole: I know what they are! I just never made them before.

Luke: That's hilarious! What, do you need us to teach you how to make toast too?

(Everyone laughs)

Nicole: Haha, very funny.

Michael: We're just kidding around. It's cute that you don't know how to make pancakes.

Calum: But on a different note, how are you feeling?

Nicole: Ummm... Good, I guess.

Calum: I mean about Matthew.

Ashton's POV

I felt like I should say something about what Matt and Louis posted on Twitter. You know, about their "bad blood". So I did.

Ashton: So I was watching eNews before you all woke up and --

Nicole: Let me guess. They talked about me and Matt.

Ashton: Yeah. But you should've seen what Matthew posted on Twitter about it.

Calum: What'd he say?

Ashton: He was pretty much saying how relationships aren't complicated and then he used himself as an example by saying, "I was in a relationship and now I'm not."

Michael: What a douche.

Luke: Michael!

Michael: What? It's true!

Calum: Language! Nicole's here.

Ashton: Guys, focus. After Matt posted that tweet, Louis said something after.

Nicole's eyes widened hugely. It's like she wasn't even paying attention until I said Louis' name and then she was all ears. "What did Louis say to Matthew?" Asked Nicole.

Nicole's POV

I hope Louis didn't say anything too harsh. Because if he did, tomorrow will be hell for me at school because people won't hesitate to stand up for Matt and say Louis was wrong to say what he said. Ashton said, "Why don't you see for yourself?" He pulled out his phone and in a matter of seconds, he showed me the tweet Louis said.

"@TheMattEspinosa aww poor kid. Girlfriend broke ur heart eh? 😢😪😩 Quick tip? Suck it up."

And there it is. I don't even wanna go to school anymore. I mean, that tweet pretty much implied Matt was a baby and a wimp. I mean, those emojis! And he freaking told Matt to suck it up! At least Louis was smart before saying that tweet. You wanna know how? Well Louis pretended that he didn't know about the break up before Matthew said that one tweet and then pretended to think that I was the one to break up with Matt when he knows Matt broke up with me. Clever. Now for at least 24 hours, people are going to think I broke up with Matt. 48 hours at the most.
