"Um, hi," I said.

Luke walked out of his room and left me in there to talk to Arzaylea. Weird. I guess now I don't have to be nice for Luke's sake. But still, I should be nice just in case Arzaylea rats to Luke about me.

Arzaylea said, "How are you?"

I paused for a second with a bit of confusion, and then said, "I'm fine."

There was a small silence in between that until Arzaylea said, "Did you see what I posted on Twitter?"

"I don't have Twitter," I said to Arzaylea with a bit of sass.

She said, "Oh. But then how did you -- "

I cut her off by saying, "It doesn't matter." I was about to ask her what she posted, until I noticed Luke's computer. His Twitter was on. I thought to myself, "Are you serious? Am I just supposed to check Luke's Twitter AGAIN? Why does this always happen to me?!? But more importantly, why does Luke always keep his Twitter open on his laptop? Like, honestly."

Arzaylea said, "Okay," and then she was silent. This nice behaviour was clearly just an act. I knew it. I mean, I was talking to her on Luke's phone, and she must've been a little cautious that I might have it on speaker or something in front of Luke.

I stared at Luke's computer contemplating if I should check his Twitter again. It didn't take me long to make my decision.

I said to Arzaylea, "One sec."

"Okay."

I went to the doorway and looked down the hall to see if anyone was there. The coast was clear. I then walked to Luke's desk and put his phone down keeping Arzaylea waiting. I didn't sit on his chair.

The Twitter page was not on Arzaylea.

I moved his mouse around to see who Luke was following. I got to Arzaylea and then clicked her. I saw her latest tweet. It read:

I furrowed my eyebrows and lip synced to myself, "What?"

I furrowed my eyebrows and lip synced to myself, "What?"

Why in the world would Arzaylea want me to see this? Is this some kind of joke?

I scrolled down to see the tweet before that one, and I found it. It read:

(A/N The image above is edited by me, just so you all know. It's obviously not a real tweet from Arzaylea.)

I squinted my eyes to see if I was reading it correctly. Did she just say I look cute af? And that I... Slay? I picked the phone back up while still squinting at the screen and said, "I'm back. Umm... Arzaylea? Did you... say on Twitter that I... slay?"

She replied, "Yeah, I did. You saw it after all." I could hear the smile in her voice. "I thought it would make up for what I tweeted awhile back about you."

I scrolled down the page to check something. It took me just a few seconds to see the old tweet she tweeted about me saying I needed to "get out more".

I glared at the screen and said into the phone, "Well it doesn't really make up for it unless you actually delete the other tweet, Arzaylea. I bet the media's already seen your tweet now and are super confused. The #1 question of the summer is going to be 'Does Arzaylea and Nicole Have Beef?.... Or nah?' And plus, even if you did delete it, it still doesn't make up for what you said to me when you came over. You know, it takes more than just 140 characters and telling a girl that she's 'cute af' to make up for stupid words that you said."

"You're so right, Nicole. I promise I'll delete the other tweet, okay?" She said.

"It doesn't matter anymore, Arzaylea. People have already seen your old tweet bashing me. And the supposedly 'nice' one you just posted has already gotten over 1000 retweets and just over 3000 likes. There's no going back now."

"I'm sorry, Nicole. If there's anything you want me to do to make up for what I did, I'll do it. I really do feel bad for what I did," said Arzaylea.

I didn't believe her, and I knew I should've asked the question of why she felt so bad now. But I didn't. Instead, I just said, "Listen. I know right now, I'm coming off really stubborn. So I'm going to do a little something for you since you must've spent so much time writing those kind words on Twitter. Okay?" A little bit of that speech was intentionally made to sound sarcastic. "How about I tell Luke that you and I are really good friends now and that I like you a lot? I don't, but I'm going to say that I do, just to get him off my back, alright?" I said everything I bit quieter so that no one would hear me.

She didn't even hesitate before saying, "Deal."

"This doesn't change anything, Arzaylea. You still have a whole lot to do to make up for what you did," I said.

"I know, and I will. I promise," she replied.

"Fine. I'm going to call Luke back now," I said.

I covered the speaker on his phone and yelled for Luke. He came within a few seconds and I said with a big, fake smile on my face pretending to have been satisfied with me and Arzaylea's conversation, "We finished talking. Here you go." I gave him his phone back and my smile made Luke smile, as I walked out of his room.
