I slammed the door shut and dropped my bag onto the floor as it made a loud thump sound. All of my binders and textbooks made it SUPER heavy. Within seconds, I heard Luke yell from upstairs in his room, "You better pick that bag up off the floor and put it in your room, Nicole!" I squinted my eyes confused as to how he even knew I had dropped my bag on the floor. Then again, I did slam the door pretty loudly, so I guess I made it pretty clear that I was home from school. Regardless, I rolled my eyes and leaned over to the side about to pick up my bag. "Go ahead and roll your eyes one more time, Nicole. I dare you." I literally froze and said out loud, "How are you doing that???" No answer. I said, "Oh, okay, wow. Now you don't say anything." I rolled my eyes once more and turned to pick up my heavy backpack. I then looked forward about to make my way to my room and I gasped to see Luke standing 4 feet away from me. "What the heck???!" I yelled. I heard Calum and Michael laugh from their rooms. Their doors were open. This always happens. The guys are always popping up out of nowhere now. Since I yelled what the heck, they probably knew that Luke scared me by popping up like that. Then Luke said to me, "I saw you roll your eyes again." I replied, "Well... you dared me to."

Luke: So if I dared you to wash the dishes tonight, would you?

Nihaal: Aaaaabsolutely not. 😊

I then walked to the stairs and up them with a cheeky grin on my face. 😏 That's just how I roll.

I jumped onto my bed intending to just relax after a long day at school. I can definitely say high school is so much more tiring than elementary school. I have to walk to four different classes a day. I don't have just one classroom. Two of them are upstairs and two are downstairs. The stairs are pretty long and steep, so it's not exactly fun to go up and down the stairs each day. My courses this semester are Geography, Math, Science, and PE. Math and Science are the hardest, but I love my teachers in both classes, so it's not too bad. I HATE my Geography teacher though. I'm doing terrible in Geography and it's because of my teacher. But I actually think my last test I did went really well! Probably 'cause it was mainly multiple choice, but who cares? I did well.

Anyway, I don't have that many good friends in high school. I thought I would make some, but turns out, I'm not as popular as I thought I would be because of who I am. It doesn't bother me too much though. Maybe because I'm a tad bit quiet, I'm not recognized by most.

Ooh! And there's something I absolutely have to tell you. It's my crush. 😏 His name is Curtis. The thing is -- and I know this is super stereotypical, but it's TRUE -- he's the hottest grade 9 in the school, and he's one of the popular kids. I was even hanging out with some grade 10's at lunch, and they were talking about how hot Curtis was. Every girl talks about how hot he is. There's this guy in my science class who said he noticed I was stating at Curtis often, but he didn't blame me, because Curtis has "the face of an angel", and who could resist looking at him? I told him I didn't have a crush on him. Now I know you're expecting me to say, "He's hot and popular, I don't have a chance with him."

BUT on the first or second day of school, in math class, I was looking around the classroom bored, and when I had looked at him, he winked at me!!! I don't know why he did, but I know it happened because from the corner of my eye when I wasn't looking at him, he had his hands in that pointing motion, you know the one. The way guys snap their fingers, click their tongues, and point at someone? That's what he did. He was waiting for me to look at him so he could wink at me. But since then, we haven't talked. Sometimes he stares, and sometimes I stare, but we all know the rules. Stay away from guys. *Sigh* 😔
