I had gotten a text from Austin.

Austin: Hey Nicole whats up

I wasn't in the mood to text Austin back but I thought, "I need to keep busy somehow," so I put my headphones back in and started to text Austin back.

Nicole: nm u?

Austin: well I wanted to tell u something. Promise not to tell anyone?

Nicole: ok I promise

Austin: awesome. I got a girlfriend

Nicole: really? That's great! What's her name?

Austin: Geneva

Nicole: wow good 4 u Austin! How did u meet her?

Austin: through a friend. I was kind of desperate for a girlfriend after I broke up with my old one a few months ago

Nicole: really?

Austin: yeah her name was Sally and she broke up with me.

Nicole: oh that's too bad

Austin: it's ok. I got me a new girl now and she's great!

Nicole: nice!

Austin: we're going out this Saturday to the movies. Hey maybe u should come.

Nicole: me? Well I wouldn't want to intrude on your date with her of course

Austin: don't worry. I'm sure she'll be fine with it. She would love to meet u

Nicole: I appreciate the offer but I don't want her to get the wrong message u know?

Austin: I know what u mean. Have u had experience with that?

Nicole: I've had similar experiences, yes.

Austin: haha thats too bad. I really wish u could come

Nicole: I wish I could too but I'm sure Geneva would like to have some alone time with her new boyfriend, not sharing it with some strange girl she doesn't know.

Austin: ur not strange. Ur cool 😀

Nicole: thx Austin. I think ur cool too. Geneva is lucky to have u

Austin: thx nicole! That means a lot

Nicole: no prob. I gotta go but I'll talk to u some other time alright?

Austin: alright peace ✌️

Nicole: peace ✌️

I turned my music off and put my iPod in my pocket. I got off my bed and went downstairs. I was bored out of my mind. Calum was watching TV. Family Guy, to be specific.

Calum said, "Hey, Nicole. What are you doing right now?"

"Not sure. I'm kind of bored," I said. I approached Calum on the couch and he decided to change the channel. I looked at him.

"Sorry, Nicole, you're not old enough to watch Family Guy," said Calum with a smile.

"Of course I'm not. I'm not old enough to have social media, and now this. It just never ends, does it?" I said.

He chuckled and said, "You're only this age once in your life. Enjoy it."

"I'm trying, Calum, but situations like this are making it hard to 'enjoy' my age at the moment," I said.

Calum shrugged it off, clearly having no regards to my feelings, and later on, I shrugged it off too.

Michael came downstairs and said, "Hey, I'm going to the mall. Anyone wanna come?"

"I'll come!" I said quickly.

Michael said, "Okay, sure. Get your stuff on and let's get out. Calum, I'm taking your car, alright?"

Calum replied with, "Sure."

The reason I was going was because I really needed to occupy myself. I was SUPER bored. I thought, going to the mall is a great idea! So I got my shoes on and me and Michael left the house.
