I woke up in the morning to the sound of a loud motor outside. I sat up quickly and looked around. I got off the couch, coughed two times, and opened the blinds to look out the window and see it was just Michael mowing the lawn. I sighed and yawned. That is one LOUD lawnmower. I began to have a headache. I was really sick. I went back to the couch and curled up the blanket. I was cold and I needed warmth. I shivered and tried to go back to sleep. I mean, I'm allowed to sleep in 'cause I'm suspended from school. I should really get suspended from school more often. Okay, it's settled! I've gotta punch some more girls in the face. That'll be fun. And maybe if I'm lucky, I'll get a full expulsion! WOO-HOO! Lol, I'm only joking. Life being suspended is kinda boring. I tried to remember everything that went on yesterday. Oh, yeah. Got sick, threw up on my bed and totally destroyed it, made a new cute friend who's a boy, and found out there's a kidnapper on the loose near our area. Wow. So I guess being suspended isn't that boring. It's more of just STRESSFUL. Yeah, that's right. Not going to school is more stressful than going to school. Weird, huh? I heard a bell from my iPod. I sighed. This text is either going to give me more stress than I already have or it's just going to start drama. That's sad. Normal people get texts and get happy that their friends want to talk to them. I get texts and either have a mini heart attack or a huge weight on my shoulders.

Austin: Hey there Nicole! Feel any better?

It was Austin and for the first time in a long time, I didn't have a mini heart attack or any more stress than I already had. I felt... Not lonely anymore. This boy's been my friend for not even 24 hours and he cares about me more than my other friends who are females do. I texted him back.

Nicole: still sick. My head hurts 🤕, I'm cold 😁, I keep on coughing 😷, and I'm really tired 😴

Austin: lol those emojis r quite descriptive.

Nicole: what can I say? I'm an expressive person 🤗

Austin: 😂 hey it's amazing how big of a coincidence it is that we live near each other isn't it?

Nicole: ya a HUGE coincidence. I can't definitely say I never expected that

While waiting for another text from Austin, Calum came downstairs and saw me awake. "Oh, hey, Nicole. How ya' feeling?" He asked me. I replied, "Not good. My head hurts and I can't stop coughing." With that, I coughed at the end. He said, "Well sorry to put more stress on you but..." I groaned not knowing I did it out loudly and in front of Calum. He looked surprised. Calum didn't realize how much stress I was actually under. He thought my only stress was my bed being destroyed and me being sick. But no. It was so much more than that.

Calum: Grad is in 2 months.

Nicole: Ugh. Really? I guess that means we have to go searching for a dress, right?

Calum: That's right. Is there anyone specific you want to go with you? It doesn't have to be one of us. Your friends could help you if you want.

Nicole: Nah, I'd want it to be a surprise to my friends.

Calum: Okay, well would you like someone like Arzaylea to take you shopping?

Nicole: No. I want you to come.

Calum: Me? But, Nicole, I know nothing about dresses or girl's style.

Nicole: I just need you to be there with me. I'll look for the dress.

Calum: Hmm...

Nicole: Please, Calum?

Calum: Fine. But we're not going anywhere until you get better. I'm going to go get you some medicine.

Nicole: Okay.
